Jesus, please calm my soul and heal my tongue, mouth and tonsils. Let it be for Your glory.


Please pray that there is no cancer or tumour in my mouth or on my tonsils.


Please pray that there is no white coating on the sides of my tongue. In Jesus' name, amen.


Unfortunately, the white coating has returned, but it seemed like I was healed.


Please pray that the white lesion on my tonsils disappears, that I am healed, and that I can speak freely.

We have heard your cry and we join with you in bringing your tongue, mouth, tonsils and sore throat before the Lord, asking for His healing and His peace to calm your soul, all for His glory.

We understand how distressing it is when symptoms return after you thought you were healed, and how fear can rise when you see a white coating on the sides of your tongue and a white lesion on your tonsils and worry about cancer or a tumor. We want to remind you that our God sees your affliction and He is near to those who are anxious and hurting. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us.

We also hear your desire to be healed so you can speak freely again. The Lord cares about every part of your body and He is the one who heals. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And Isaiah 53:5 reminds us But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him and by his wounds we are healed.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, lifting up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the soreness in the throat, the condition of the tongue and the tonsils, the white coating and the white lesion that has returned and causes fear. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch this mouth and throat with Your healing hand. We pray that there would be no cancer and no tumor found in the mouth or on the tonsils, and that every abnormal coating and lesion would disappear completely. Lord, restore the tissue to be healthy and whole, take away pain and inflammation, and allow clear and free speech again for Your glory. We also ask for Your peace to calm this troubled soul. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Let that peace guard this heart and mind now, driving out fear and filling this life with trust in Your goodness. Father, guide any doctors or examinations with wisdom, and let the outcome testify of Your mercy and power. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every worry to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving, even when healing seems delayed or symptoms return. God’s timing and ways are perfect, and He is still working for your good. James 5:14-15 says Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Continue to seek Him, stay in His Word, and also seek wise medical care, trusting that the Lord can work both through His direct touch and through the hands of physicians, for He says in Exodus 15:26 I am Yahweh who heals you.

We are standing with you, believing for complete healing, for clean and healthy tissue, for no trace of disease, and for a calm and trusting heart that rests in Jesus.

We read your request with care and we are praying for you. Wanting your soul to be calm while your mouth and throat are so sore is such an understandable prayer, and we hear how discouraging it must have been to feel better for a time and then see the white coating return, along with the lesion on your tonsils and the worry about what it might be.

We are asking the Lord to bring you peace as you wait, to ease the soreness, and to bring clear answers and good care. For ongoing symptoms like these, we gently encourage you to see your primary care doctor or an ENT promptly if you have not already, and to stay with any follow up they advise, while we continue to pray for healing and for you to be able to speak freely again without pain or fear. It can help to write down when symptoms started, what comes and goes, and questions you want to ask, to bring with you.

Father, we lift them to You now. Calm their soul, ease the pain in their tongue, mouth and tonsils, and guide every exam and decision. Bring healing as You will, for Your glory, and give comfort, clear answers and strength day by day. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord with tenderness and care, and we join you in seeking His mercy for your body and your soul.

You ask Jesus to calm your soul even as you suffer in your tongue, mouth and tonsils, and that is a blessed prayer. The prophet declares, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not the absence of trial but the presence of Christ within the trial. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus even while duties press and sorrows surge round is rest. We pray that your mind may be stayed upon Him, and that He will keep you in that peace which gleams with heavenly light even in the midnight of care. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you, is your privilege as a believer. Anxiety unfits us to meet difficulty, but faith overcomes fear.

Therefore hear His own word to a trembling heart, Fear not, for I will help you. Fear not, you worm Jacob. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen at His feet, Fear not. To fear is to dishonor the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. Let your fear be removed by His promise, for He says, Fear not, I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. We pray the Lord will labor in you to cast out that fear which weakens, and to give you trust in His promised strength.

You have very speedily and rightly cared for this bodily disease, for such pains urge us to seek the physician, and we do not neglect means. Yet we look higher than means, to the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaf also shall not wither. The Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, and with His stripes we are healed. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. First forgiveness, then healing, for being justified by faith we have peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord, and that peace is the root of all true healing.

We now pray with you and for you, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord alone by whom we are saved:

Our Father, in mercy look upon this suffering one. Calm the soul with perfect peace. Lay Your healing hand upon the tongue, the mouth and the tonsils. We ask, if it be for Your glory, that You would remove the white coating from the sides of the tongue, and cause the white lesion upon the tonsils to disappear. We pray that there would be found no cancer and no tumour in the mouth or upon the tonsils. Grant healing, we beseech You, and restore the power to speak freely and to praise Your name. Though the coating returned after there seemed to be healing, keep this dear soul from despondency, and teach the heart to trust You still, whether You heal at once or sustain through waiting. Let all be for Your glory, that whether in healing or in patient endurance, Christ may be magnified. Grant wisdom to those who give medical care, and above all grant that personal touch of faith which brings peace to the soul. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, who bore our sicknesses and infirmities. Amen.

Continue to stay your mind upon Him, to hear His word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and earth's struggles shall soon cease when Jesus calls us to Heaven's perfect peace.

Thank you for sharing this burden so openly. I hear your concern about your tongue, mouth and tonsils, the sore throat, the white coating and the lesion, and the fear that it could be cancer or a tumor. It is understandable that your soul feels unsettled when healing seemed near and then symptoms returned, and I join you in bringing this before the Lord who hears and cares for you.

I pray with you now that God would calm your soul and grant you His peace. I ask Him in the name of Jesus to touch your tongue, mouth and tonsils, to bring healing according to His mercy and wisdom, and to let whatever He does be for His glory. I pray that no cancer or tumor would be found, that the white coating on the sides of your tongue would clear, that the white lesion on your tonsils would disappear, and that you would be able to speak freely and without pain. I ask the Lord to guide the doctors who examine you and to give you clear answers, and to strengthen your faith while you wait.

Scripture reminds us that our tongue is like a hand by which we lay hold of the knees of God in prayer, and that we are to keep our tongue from evil and use it for what is good. In times of fear and grief we can speak as Christ spoke, saying with trust, Nevertheless not as I will, but as You will. He became man for us and knows our weakness and our suffering, and He laments over our afflictions with deep compassion. Continue to bring your petitions to Him with a clean heart, with weeping and honest prayer, seeking His will above all, and using your tongue to bless, to give thanks, and to pray for others even as you ask for healing for yourself.
