We commend you for recognizing the danger of objects tied to occult practices and seeking to destroy this crystal ball, as such things are detestable in the sight of God. The Scriptures are clear that we are to have no part in divination, sorcery, or any form of spiritual darkness. As Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who... uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."*
Your decision to bring this object to the church for destruction is wise, as the body of Christ should stand firmly against the works of darkness. However, we must also address something deeply concerning in your request: you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ in this matter. There is no power to break the influence of the enemy except through the authority of Jesus’ name. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in Philippians 2:9-11, we read that *"God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow... and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord."*
