Today's Verse - Psalm 5:3 (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 5:3 (KJV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Prayer is more than making requests. Prayer is more than offering praise. Prayer is more than giving thanks. Prayer is more than interceding for others. Prayer is more than posters — kneeling, bowing, prostrating, or humbling ourselves before God. Prayer is expecting that God wants us there. Prayer is expecting that God hears us and will act to bring his redemption in response to our prayers. Prayer is eagerly expecting that God will meet us in our prayer time and do what is best for us and those we love.

Today's ToGather video of our Verse of the Day invites us to meet God in prayer each morning with eager expectation:

My Prayer...

Loving Father and Eternal God, thank you for meeting me in this prayer time. I know that you hear me and care about what I share with you. Thank you for paying attention to someone like me and accepting me as your precious child. Thank you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
