But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:5-6 (KJV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

I don't know how Jesus could stand up under its weight. He had my sin, your sin, our sin. He allowed it to be placed upon him so that we would not have to bear the consequences of it all. But in that sacrifice, as horrible as it was, we find ourselves healed — cured of the most awful disease a person can have, a sin-sick soul. He was pierced, crushed, and punished for our sins. In their place, he has left us his transforming peace and a place to belong.

My Prayer...

God of peace, fill my soul with the wonder of your grace. Let me not forget the cost of your love. Stir in me the constant and abiding memory of your redemptive grace. Thank you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Pray For Your Family & Friends: God, I ask You in Jesus’ name, to Sanctify my family and friends. God sanctify me O Lord. May we all be known as men and women of God who respect You and whose characters are shaped by You. Cultivate biblical virtues, principles, and values in us and grant us godly wisdom. May we all walk in the understanding that we are blessed to be Your servants called out by You. God please do the same for the writers of this prayer. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so in Jesus’ name.

Jesus suffered so much for us on the cross, so weak, so alone in the world, rejected by His own people and Roman soldiers looking at Him. Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. What a powerful words full of mercy and compassion for lost souls. He took our sins on His body and opened the gates of heaven for us to enter in. Thank you Jesus for everything You have done for us. We love You, praise You and adore Your holy name now and forever more. Amen
