Today's Verse - Acts 15:35 (KJV)

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

Acts 15:35 (KJV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Antioch was a great church in the first century. God blessed this church with both Jewish and Gentile disciples who were very talented. These disciples were the first followers of Jesus in the New Testament who were called Christians. Many of these new Christians taught and evangelized others in their community and the region around them. These "many others" who "taught and preached the word of the LORD" remind us that the power of the early Church was not limited to its well-known leaders. Church life in Antioch involved its members' dedication to ministering and using the gifts that God had given them to serve others.

My Prayer...

Almighty and powerful God, please raise an army of committed people who will serve, pray, evangelize, and teach so that others may know the grace you have given us in your Son. Please renew the power of everyday Christians in our day just as it was in the early Church! I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, my Savior and LORD. Amen.

Please help us not to be "weary with well doing" but to continue with vigor and sincerity in the Great Commission You have entrusted us with for the days are growing short and there are many who have not yet been reached. Lord Jesus you are mighty and strong to give us all that we need Amen.

We must ask for God's Presence with us in all we say and do in life. We are His, we need to be equipped with words of knowledge and wisdom and understanding Proverbs 2:6 James 1:5 We can turn to God and He will help us. Imagine walking with God, Him giving us words of knowledge which will help us help others into His Kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please help us not to be "weary with well doing" but to continue with vigor and sincerity in the Great Commission You have entrusted us with for the days are growing short and there are many who have not yet been reached. Lord Jesus you are mighty and strong to give us all that we need Amen.
At the end of our life, we shall see Jesus face to face and will tell Him how much we love Him for choosing us and making us His very own.
