We lift up this heartfelt prayer for your family, dear brother or sister in Christ, and join with you in seeking God’s mercy, protection, and healing. It is beautiful to see your desire for your family to walk in God’s will and love Him wholeheartedly, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 22:37: *"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."* This is the greatest commandment, and it is our daily calling as believers.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life. We declare that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that every member of this family would know Jesus personally as their Lord and Savior, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Lord, we ask that You save, protect, and heal this family. Guard their hearts and minds from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Deliver them from every form of evil—whether it be temptation, division, sickness, or spiritual attack. We rebuke every plan of the devil against this family in Jesus’ name and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them stand firm in the armor of God, resisting the devil so that he will flee from them (James 4:7).
We also pray for unity in this family, that they would be bound together in love and purpose, just as You have called us to love one another as Christ loved us (John 13:34). If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or strife among them, we ask that You soften their hearts and bring reconciliation. Help them to bear with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3).
Father, we ask that You heal any physical, emotional, or spiritual wounds in this family. You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26), and we trust in Your power to restore what has been broken. Pour out Your comfort on those who are grieving or struggling, reminding them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Finally, Lord, we pray that this family would walk in Your will in every area of their lives. Give them wisdom and discernment to make choices that honor You, whether in their relationships, work, or daily living. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Let their lives be a testimony of Your goodness and grace, drawing others to You.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
