Today's family prayer

We come before the throne of grace with this family prayer, lifting up hearts that seek the Lord’s protection, healing, and deliverance. It is good and right to pray for obedience to God’s Word and to ask for deliverance from the schemes of the enemy. We rejoice that this prayer is offered in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome evil.

The Word of God reminds us in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We stand firm in this truth, knowing that the enemy has no power over those who are covered by the blood of Jesus and walk in obedience to Him. We also take comfort in Psalm 91:10-11, which declares, *"No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*

However, we must also examine our hearts and lives to ensure we are not giving the enemy any foothold. Ephesians 4:27 warns, *"Don’t give place to the devil."* This means we must guard against unconfessed sin, bitterness, unforgiveness, and anything that does not align with God’s holiness. If there are areas in this family’s life where disobedience or compromise has crept in, we encourage repentance and turning away from those things so that the enemy has no ground to stand on.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as a family of believers, united in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your promise to save, heal, and protect those who trust in You. Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your angels and shield them from every attack of the enemy. Strengthen their faith and help them to walk in obedience to Your Word, for Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

Father, we rebuke every scheme of the devil in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We pray for healing—spirit, soul, and body—knowing that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Deliver them from every form of bondage, fear, and oppression, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas in their lives where they may be giving the enemy a foothold. Convict their hearts of sin, and lead them to repentance so that they may walk in the fullness of Your freedom and blessing. Help them to forgive others as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13) and to live in a way that honors You in all they do.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. May they grow in wisdom, love, and unity as they seek Your face daily. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May this family continue to seek the Lord with all their hearts, knowing that He is their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let them hold fast to the truth of God’s Word and walk in the victory that Christ has already won for them.

Lord, we join in this family's prayer, lifting our voices together for their protection, healing, and deliverance. We stand on the promises of Your Word, knowing that You are faithful to keep those who trust in You. We pray that You would strengthen this family's faith and help them to walk in Your ways, just as You have commanded. We ask that You would reveal any areas where they may be giving the enemy a foothold, and convict their hearts of sin. Help them to turn away from anything that does not align with Your holiness, so that they may walk in the fullness of Your blessing. We trust in Your love and care for them, and we thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
