We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for His many blessings and in bringing these requests before Him with confidence in His goodness and power.

Your desire for wisdom and discernment and for the right words in appointments is pleasing to God, for He gives wisdom generously to those who ask Him. We pray that He will guide your speech and your decisions, and that He will help you steward your home and work with order and diligence, so that your kitchen and your whole house may reflect faithfulness and good stewardship. As Scripture teaches, marriage and the home are honorable when ordered with chasteness and gravity, and God is glorified when we labor with moderation and purpose for His sake.

We lift up your daughter before the Lord. We ask Him to heal her, to strengthen her in her work and schooling, to guard her marriage and keep her from all harm and abuse, and to help both your daughter and your son to see themselves as God sees them, as His beloved children created and redeemed in Christ. We pray that the Lord will close doors that would lead them into harm and open doors to what is good, to fruitful opportunities and to kind, faithful Christian fellowship that will encourage them to walk in holiness.

We pray also for your son, for his safety as he rides and for the Lord's clear direction as he looks toward marriage. We ask God to lead him to a godly wife, that he may enter into marriage as God ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, kept pure and honorable, preserving the holiness that comes through faith in Christ and lived out in love and fidelity.

We join you in asking for healing of hearts and for restoration where relationships have been broken, that God would teach you all to love Him with heart and mind and soul and strength, and to love one another with patience and grace. We ask Him to increase the fruit of the Spirit in your home, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, and to keep you safe in all your travels.

We pray for your deliverance from all evil, that the Lord would surround you with His protection and favor according to His promises. May He be your refuge and shelter as Psalm 91 and Psalm 121 declare, may no weapon formed against you prosper as Isaiah 54:17 promises, may He who is in you be greater than he who is in the world as 1 John 4:4 teaches, and may the Lord guard you from evil and establish you as 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 says. We trust Him who makes all things new according to Revelation 21:5.

We give all glory and praise and thanks to God through Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone is salvation, and in whose name we pray. Amen.
