The Bible reminds us that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and He entrusts them to us as a sacred responsibility. We pray that the Lord would surround her with His angels, as He has promised: *"For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways."* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). May He place a hedge of protection around both of you, shielding you from harm, deception, and the schemes of the enemy. We also pray that the Lord would give you wisdom and discernment as you navigate co-parenting with your ex. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* (James 1:5, WEB). You’ve asked the Lord to "take the wheel," and this is a powerful surrender. When we yield our lives to Christ, He directs our steps and orders our paths. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). We pray that the Lord would make His will clear to you, opening doors that align with His purpose and closing those that do not. May He send godly people into your life—those who will encourage you in faith, speak truth, and walk alongside you in this season. *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* (Proverbs 13:20, WEB). Ask the Holy Spirit to give you discernment to recognize those He has sent and to distance yourself from influences that do not honor Him.
Finally, your prayer to have Jesus "come into my life and stay forever" is the most precious request of all. If you have not already surrendered your life fully to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is by grace through faith in Jesus that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have already accepted Him, we pray that your relationship with Jesus would deepen daily, that you would abide in Him as He abides in you (John 15:4). Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our sister, lifting her and her precious daughter into Your loving hands. Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd who watches over Your sheep, and we ask that You surround them with Your protection, peace, and provision. Guard their coming and going, and let no harm come near them. Father, we pray that You would thwart any plan of the enemy to separate this mother from her child. Bind every lying tongue and expose every hidden motive that seeks to bring harm. Give her wisdom, Lord, in every decision, and let Your favor rest upon her as she interacts with others.
