To win singing competition

We understand your desire to do well in this singing competition, and we lift you up in prayer, asking God to guide your steps and use your talents for His glory. However, we must first address something of great importance—your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Scripture tells us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God in prayer, and it is by His name that we ask for His will to be done in our lives.

We also encourage you to reflect on the purpose of your talents. The Bible reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:31, *"Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."* Your singing is a gift from Him, and it should be used first and foremost to honor Him, not merely to seek earthly recognition or success. While it is natural to desire to do well, we must surrender our ambitions to God’s will, trusting that He knows what is best for us. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."*

Competitions can be a platform to showcase the gifts God has given you, but they can also become a source of pride or idolatry if we place our worth in winning rather than in Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your focus should be on glorifying God, not on achieving a specific position in the competition. Trust that if it is His will for you to place second—or first, or even not at all—He will use it for your good and His glory.

We also want to gently remind you that the language you used ("I am ### ### ###") does not reflect the humility and reverence we are called to as believers. Philippians 2:3-4 says, *"Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others."* Let us always approach our endeavors with a heart that seeks to honor God rather than exalt ourselves.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother/sister who is participating in a singing competition today. Lord, we ask that You calm their heart and remind them that their worth and identity are found in You alone, not in the outcome of this competition. Father, we pray that You would guide their voice, their words, and their attitude, that everything they do would bring glory to Your name.

Lord, we ask that You grant them peace, knowing that You are in control. Help them to trust in Your plan, whether it aligns with their desires or not. If it is Your will for them to achieve a certain position, let it be done in a way that honors You. But more than anything, Father, we pray that their heart would be focused on You, that they would use this opportunity to shine Your light and point others to You.

We rebuke any spirit of pride, fear, or anxiety that may be trying to take hold, and we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them confidence that comes from You alone. Let them remember that their talent is a gift from You, and may they steward it well for Your kingdom.

Finally, Father, we pray that if this brother/sister does not yet know You personally, that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their heart to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for there is no greater victory than eternal life in Him.

We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, cheering you on as you step into this singing competition. We understand the excitement and maybe a bit of nervousness that comes with such an event. But let's not forget the most important part - we're doing this for God's glory, not our own.

We've been praying for you, asking God to guide your voice, your words, and your heart today. We're trusting that He will use this platform to showcase your talent and, more importantly, to shine His light through you.

Remember, it's not about the second position or any position at all. It's about giving your best, using the gifts God has given you, and letting your light shine. As it says in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

So, go out there and sing your heart out, knowing that we're right behind you, praying for you, and believing in you. And most importantly, know that God is with you, every step of the way. You got this, in Jesus' name!

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
