To Those Who Are Selfish In Prayer

You or I can not make or shame someone into praying for someone.  You can not control someone else with the Word of God. That is the Holy Spirit's job. And for your information I am in a good church and have a excellent pastor.  I will leave you with this...

Always look at everything as a lesson so that you will not walk around angry, bitter, offended, or have a pity party.   Always put God into the equation and keep your focus on Him.  Ask God, “What am I to learn from this?”   Pray that you do not waste the experience. Then relax, focus, and grow from it.  God is in total control.

I guarantee you will look at life differently when you look at everything you go through (good or bad) as a lesson to be learned.

The fact that you keep confusing topics speaks volumes. Nobody is trying to shame anybody into anything. Why do you keep twisting everything? You replied to a topic that you have no knowledge of. Does your pastor try to shame people when he preaches about things that they do not know about? My pastor tries to educate people about talking about things. We talk to people about things that they do not know about so that they become educated. Whether they decide to start praying for others or not, that is their decision. Quite a few people have thanked me for posting this prayer. If you do not like my prayer, why do you reply to it? You have responded to150,000+ requests, (quite a few times without reading them), so why this negativity and attack on my post? I can assure you that nothing will happen if you omit one request. Your negativity here is not encouraging...

Let me quote the Word of God once again, and I will leave you with that, unless you have something negative to say about God's Word too. Just do not respond to this post again.

James 5:16 - Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Also, try to be humble a little because you think that advertising your degrees makes you someone more important than others. Degrees mean nothing when a person has a limited knowledge. Advertising yourself like this is very infantile and immature, especially when you have difficulties understanding a basic post. The fact that you attacked me for telling you the truth speaks volumes to me. An intelligent person who is corrected, responds differently.

I did not attack you. I just told you what I felt, just as you told me how you felt. You need to review the post. You attacked me.

These are your words to me: You should educate yourself on the issue of being selfish in prayer. Find a good church with a pastor who preaches about it because  mine does :).   You have responded to150,000+ requests, (quite a few times without reading them), so why this negativity and attack on my post? I can assure you that nothing will happen if you omit one request. Your negativity here is not encouraging..

You attacked me because I said we should focus on what God has called us to do and not worry about someone being selfish.

I forgive you and I will continue to pray for  you as the Lord leads me. We have a work to do. There are so many people hurting on this site. Let us  focus on praying for them instead of focusing on our feelings and negative Words or someone being selfish. The selfish people need prayers to. The devil does not want us to pray for or encourage others. Our job is to pray for those whom God place upon our hearts.

I am been a member of this site since 2009 or 2010, and not 2011. So my number of replies is  high because I been a member over 15 years. And I pray and leave a prayer for those I reply to. The prayer may not line up to what you want to pray. But I try to leave a prayer that I feel my help someone and their loves one.  And yes I do have a Masters with a focus on Pastoral Counseling and I graduated with a 3.83 GPA. I graduated with a BS in Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership with a 3.91 GPA.  And I thank God He sent me to school so that I can help myself and others.

I am praying for you. If I have offended you please forgive me. That was not my intention. God bless you.

Ms. Linda

PS:  I have prayed this prayer for 15 years over everyone I reply to, God I ask in Jesus’ name, bless everyone with what they stand in need of who post a prayer request on this site according to Your perfect will.

Anything under the sun that which brings about separation and

division is abomination unto our Lord God. For CONTEMPT in itself

among the communities  shall bring a falling away of God's divine

presence...which many are in need of spiritual guidance and direction

in a grave time of division and separation across the land...but has

this too not been told of. Patience, humility and gratitude are to be

considered of great importance for ALL. For all are witness to the

danger of defiance and the disobedience of God's laws'...now being

displayed in the world  arena...for that which is at hand...most all know

not of the 'coming of the coming...'to be'.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
