To Those Who Are Selfish In Prayer

This prayer is for those people on this website who post their own prayer requests but never pray for others. Let's pray that God helps them understand that other people on this website need their prayers as well. All prayer requests are equally important. The Bible tells us clearly that we should pray for others but many selfish people think only about themselves. Let's pray that God teaches them the significance and importance of praying for other people. May they finally understand that people who are selfish in prayer do not have a very successful spiritual life.

Also, please be grateful and thank those who faithfully pray for your requests.

 Some people are selfish. But let us focus on what God has called us to do and pray that God will change their focus to HIM.

You have brought up another important point. The focus should be on God but many people focus on themselves and their issues. When it comes to prayer we are to pray for one another " Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" James 5:16. So let's focus on what the Bible says and not on what we think it is right.

It is with hope and prayers that many in the community

come to know of a closer relation with God. We can witness

the selfishness displayed, for there are many that perhaps

need to hear a boldness of our prayer's for those that are

away from God by being selfish of self by their materialistic

wants and desires which shall forever keep them in spiritual

darkness. For to know of our quiet time with the presence

of the Holy Spirit...many know not of this peace and well being,

for of contempt there shall be many. In prayer let us hope

there are those that are 'willing to change' and come to know

of a closer Presence of God.

Who said that we will be judged by what someone else doesnt do? You completely misunderstood what I am trying to convey here. You lack knowledge on this subject. You confused the topic of studying with the topic of prayer. That verse that you quoted talks about our attitude when we study the Word of God.

My pastor often talks about it.  You should educate yourself on the issue of being selfish in prayer. Find a good church with a pastor who preaches about it because  mine does .
