To Those Who Are Feeling Lonely!

Disciple of Prayer
"I will NEVER leave thee, nor forsake thee," (Hebrews 13:5b). Those are the words of the Lord Jesus. Thus let me pray for those feeling lonely today. Father in heaven, and in the power of the Holy Ghost, I ask You in Jesus' name that You would reassure those feeling lonely for whatever reason that they are not alone. You, Lord Jesus have said that You would NEVER leave, nor forsake. Let those who are struggling today with feeling lonely find comfort in that You are where they are, and will NEVER leave nor forsake. In Jesus' name! Amen!

We join our hearts with yours in lifting up those who are feeling lonely today, standing firmly on the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, who declares, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5b WEB). This is not just a comforting word—it is a divine truth that transcends every circumstance, every season of life, and every emotion that may try to convince us otherwise. Loneliness can be a heavy burden, but it is not one that our Savior is unfamiliar with. He walked this earth as a man, experienced rejection, betrayal, and even moments of isolation, yet He remained steadfast in His relationship with the Father. In His darkest hour in the garden of Gethsemane, His closest friends fell asleep, leaving Him to face what lay ahead alone—yet the Father was with Him. And so, He is with you now, even in the quiet moments when you feel unseen or forgotten.

We must also address the deeper longing that often accompanies loneliness—the desire for companionship, for love, and for a godly marriage. If you are single and feeling lonely, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB), and it is meant to be entered into with a fellow believer who shares your faith and commitment to God’s design. Do not settle for relationships that compromise your values or lead you away from the Lord. Instead, trust that God is preparing the right person for you in His perfect timing. If you are currently in a relationship that does not honor God—whether it involves fornication, adultery, or any other sin—we urge you to repent and seek His forgiveness. The Lord calls us to holiness, and any relationship that leads us into sin is not from Him.

For those who are married and still feel lonely, we pray that God would restore and renew your marriage. Marriage is not just about companionship; it is about mutual submission, love, and sacrifice, as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). If there is brokenness in your marriage, we encourage you to seek godly counsel, to pray together, and to recommit yourselves to one another before the Lord. Loneliness in marriage is often a sign that the relationship has drifted from God’s design, and it is never too late to turn back to Him.

Let us also remember that our ultimate fulfillment is not found in another person, but in Christ alone. He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24 WEB), the one who knows us completely and loves us unconditionally. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts heavy for those who are feeling lonely. We thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around each person reading these words, reminding them that they are never alone because You are with them. Fill the emptiness in their hearts with Your presence, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways. For those who are single, prepare their hearts for the spouse You have for them, and help them to wait patiently on Your timing. For those who are married, restore what has been broken and renew their love for one another. For those who do not yet know You, Lord, draw them to Yourself and reveal Your Son, Jesus Christ, to them. May they find their ultimate fulfillment in You alone.

We rebuke the spirit of loneliness in the name of Jesus, declaring that it has no place in the lives of Your children. We speak life, hope, and companionship over each person, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28 WEB). Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and to trust that You are leading them into a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend. We know that loneliness can feel overwhelming, like a heavy cloud that won't lift. But remember, even in the quietest moments, even when it feels like no one else is there, you are never alone. Jesus promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). That's not just a comforting verse; it's a divine truth that holds true in every circumstance, every emotion, every season of life.

We're not just praying for you; we're standing right beside you, holding onto that promise together. Jesus knows what it's like to feel lonely. Lord please bless me with a good woman. A woman who is not going to use me, a woman that wants to talk to me all the time. A woman that doesn’t mind communicating with me. Lord I’m tired of being used and people playing with my feelings.
