Praise be to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I humbly request your prayers for my brother, ###. Although he has received baptism, he has not yet experienced salvation and is currently struggling between life and death under the oppression of the enemy. Please pray that ###'s soul may be saved, that he may be delivered, and that he may dedicate his life to serving God. Address: ###. Date: July 2026

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother in earnest prayer. We rejoice that you have called upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your brother’s baptism was a step of obedience, but we know that salvation comes not by works or rituals, but by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

The struggle you describe, this battle between life and death, this oppression of the enemy, is very real. The Word of God tells us that our adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we also know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We take authority in the name of Jesus Christ over every spirit of darkness that seeks to bind your brother. We rebuke the enemy’s grip on his life and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Your brother’s soul is precious to God, who desires that all men come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and that he would turn fully to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. May the eyes of his heart be enlightened to see the hope of his calling (Ephesians 1:18), and may he surrender his life completely to the One who died for him.

We also pray for you, dear sister or brother in Christ, that you would be strengthened in this trial. The enemy may seek to discourage you, but we encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Continue to intercede for your brother, for the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up to You, asking that You would break every chain of oppression in his life. Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over him, that he may be washed clean from all unrighteousness. We ask that You would send Your Holy Spirit to draw him close, to convict him of his need for You, and to fill him with Your peace and presence.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of darkness that seeks to keep in bondage. We declare that he is a child of God, created for Your purpose, and we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Let him experience Your love, Your mercy, and Your grace. May he turn from any sin or rebellion and run into Your arms, where he will find true life and freedom.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and strength for his family. Give them the words to speak and the faith to believe that You are at work, even when they cannot see it. Surround them with Your angels and fill their home with Your peace. May they trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are able to save to the uttermost those who come to You through Jesus Christ (Hebrews 7:25). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Continue to stand on God’s promises, dear one. Your brother’s salvation is not too hard for the Lord (Jeremiah 32:27). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in Him. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you and for your brother.

We thank you for sharing this burden for your brother with us. It is clear how deeply you love him, and your persistence in prayer is a beautiful thing. It can be so heavy to watch someone you care about struggle, especially when it feels like their very soul hangs in the balance. The ache of seeing him caught between life and death, as you described, is one we take seriously, and we are honored to stand with you in this.

Sometimes when a loved one is under such heavy oppression, the most powerful thing we can do right alongside our prayers is to enlist a few trusted, spiritually mature believers in your own life to pray with you specifically and consistently. If you belong to a local church, consider sharing this with your pastor or a prayer team. There is a unique strength when even just two or three gather in Jesus’ name, agreeing together for your brother’s deliverance and salvation. They can also be a steady source of encouragement for you on the days when the battle feels long.

Please do not lose heart. The very fact that you are standing in the gap for him is a sign of God’s mercy at work. We are praying with you that the Holy Spirit would break through every dark cloud, that the truth of Christ would become undeniably real to your brother, and that he would step fully into the freedom and new life that is already his in baptism, ready to live it out in joyful service.

Jesus, we lift up this brother to you. You see his struggle and the enemy’s grip on his life. We ask you, by your mighty power, to set him free. Silence every voice of oppression and let the light of your salvation dawn in his heart. Bring him from death to life, and give him a future dedicated to you. Sustain this dear sibling who prays with such faithful love, and may their whole household soon rejoice in your victory. Amen.

You speak of a brother upon whom the dark thought has fallen, that arrow which comes whizzing up from hell, "God has forsaken thee; he will never accept thee again." Oppression has seized him, and the enemy whispers that his deliverance is beyond hope, that though baptized, the ransom cannot be found for him. But the deliverance of a soul from the pit of hell is not left to such whispers. God hath not said, "Perhaps I may find a ransom for the poor soul." He hath declared, "I have found a ransom." The blood of the Lamb slain was the price; the way was Heaven's own invention, and the arm of the Lord alone brings forth the captive. When Israel came out of Egypt, not one feeble one was left behind, for it is written, "He brought them forth." So will He do for your brother, for He makes deliverance effectual in every deed.

The way of deliverance remains simple beyond all human devising: "Look unto me, and be ye saved." Not a long journey, not a weight of ceremony, but a look to the Person of Christ, trusting in Him alone. Does your brother feel his soul drawing near to the grave, his life abhorring bread? Let him hear this: that Jesus Christ receives sinners, and he that believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. The salvation of God is exactly suited to the soul that cannot stir a finger to save itself. It is free grace from first to last. Tell him to plunge his guilty soul now into the bath of Christ's blood, to cast himself upon His finished work. A look does not require a moment; it is as instantaneous as the lifting of the eye. There is no other condition, no fitness to be felt beforehand, only that desperate, childlike trust in the living Savior who came to deliver the prey from the mighty.

As you plead for his soul, do not think hardly of your Father. Is the case beyond His arm? Did He not bring back the captivity of His people with singing? The deliverance that springs from the slaying of the Lamb is a fountain of life, a well of salvation from which streams of grace flow to quench the thirst of many. Satan would have your brother believe his chains are eternal; but the Lord who marketh all our paths will yet command deliverance for him. The salvation that is of God is irreversible, a crown jewel that cannot be plucked away. Let your faith lay hold of this: "His honor is engaged to save the meanest of his sheep." Cease not to cry, "Deliver him from going down to the pit," for a ransom is found. Look steadfastly to Christ on his behalf, and urge your brother's soul to make that same look its own, for "he that believeth on Him shall never be confounded." The Sun of Righteousness shall rise upon his midnight; only let him turn his eyes toward the hill of Calvary, where the Substitute stood in his place.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When a man has received baptism yet remains under the enemy’s oppression, it is because the sign of that baptism has not yet worked its inner transformation. Baptism is not a mere washing with water, but the burial of the old man and the rising of the new in the likeness of Christ’s death. If your brother truly desires deliverance, he must not look back to the world but press forward to that saving doctrine which makes us despise even death. The Lord promises us, not deliverance from temporal dangers, but the dissolution of death itself, the destruction of the devil, and everlasting life. How then shall he escape if he neglects so great a salvation?

Let him repent with that godly sorrow which works salvation without regret. The sorrow of this world only breeds death, but weeping for sin brings life. Speak to him plainly: this struggle between life and death is not to be met with passive hope, but with a will that chooses death to sin. For Christ permits His own to suffer, granting them greater grace than if He spared them every trial. When he learns to hate his life in this world, then he will keep it for eternal life. Encourage him to cling to the promise that the baptized will be clothed with power from on high, baptized not merely by men but by Christ Himself with the Holy Spirit.

Pray without ceasing, and do not waver. If even Paul counted it a small thing to face death daily for the kingdom, how much more must your brother rise from his present slumber. Let the remembrance of his baptism be his weapon, for that immersion into water and emergence is a symbol of descent into hades and return. If he will now crucify afresh the old desires, then truly he shall be conformed to the resurrection. The Lord’s words are a bond that holds us to hope: He has not left us comfortless. Stand firm and entreat the Master of life, and He shall preserve his soul for that eternal kingdom.
