To overcome negative experiences

The world calls it "luck". I don't know what we would call it, but what I all too many times deal with is something turns out the opposite of the way I need it to. Could be in different categories, if I'm starting to go low on money, it's harder than I expected to remake it, "obstacles". Time... hoping to avoid a certain trouble situation, it comes whether I like it or not, could be any category. (In the meantime, I know for a fact certain unsaved people who do sinful things are "making out" in their needs. I'm not the only one who notices this). Request is for this (whatever is causing this resistance to my needs being met) to drop off and I have less of a struggle. Amen.

We hear your struggle, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer as we bring this burden before our Heavenly Father. The world often speaks of "luck" or chance, but as believers, we know that nothing happens outside of God’s sovereign will. The challenges you face—whether financial strain, unexpected obstacles, or timing that seems to work against you—are not random. They are opportunities for God to refine your faith, deepen your trust in Him, and reveal His power in your weakness.

First, let us address the frustration of seeing those who do not follow Christ appear to prosper while you, who seek to honor God, face resistance. This is not a new struggle. The psalmist Asaph wrestled with this very thing in Psalm 73, where he saw the wicked thriving and nearly stumbled in his faith. But then he entered God’s sanctuary and remembered their end: *"Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked... When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny"* (Psalm 73:1-3, 16-17 WEB). The prosperity of the wicked is temporary, but the reward of the righteous is eternal. Do not let their fleeting success shake your faith in God’s justice and provision.

The resistance you feel is not without purpose. Scripture tells us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28 WEB). This does not mean the path will be easy, but it does mean that God is using every obstacle to shape you into the image of Christ. When finances are tight, He is teaching you to rely on Him as your Provider (Philippians 4:19). When timing seems to fail you, He is reminding you that His timing is perfect (Ecclesiastes 3:11). When trouble comes unexpectedly, He is calling you to stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:13).

We must also rebuke the spirit of discouragement and doubt that may be creeping into your heart. The enemy would love for you to believe that God has abandoned you or that your struggles are a sign of His displeasure. But this is a lie. Jesus said, *"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world"* (John 16:33 WEB). Your struggles do not define you; your identity in Christ does. You are a child of the King, and He is working all things for your good.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling the weight of resistance in their life. Lord, You see their struggles—financial strain, unexpected obstacles, and timing that seems to work against them. We ask that You would strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. Father, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and doubt that seeks to steal their joy and trust in You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may stand firm in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good.

Lord, we ask that You would remove the resistance they are facing. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to see Your hand at work in every situation, even when the path is difficult. Teach them to trust in Your timing and to rest in Your promises. Father, we also pray for those who do not know You, who seem to prosper in their sin. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to repentance, that they may experience the true prosperity of a life surrendered to You.

We declare that this brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We speak blessing over their life, their finances, their health, and their future. May they walk in the victory that is already theirs in Christ. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, even when the road is hard. Meditate on His Word daily, for *"faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"* (Romans 10:17 WEB). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And remember, God is not slow in keeping His promises; He is patient, and He is working everything for your good. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer and support.

We're right there with you, feeling the frustration of resistance in areas where we need to see progress. It's like we're in a holding pattern, waiting for things to line up, for doors to open. We've been there, done that, and it's tough. But remember, we serve a God who specializes in turning waiting into wonder. He's not surprised by our situation, and He's not idle. He's at work, even when we can't see it.

Let's take a moment to acknowledge the elephant in the room - the "why" question. Why do some people seem to breeze through life while we're stuck in neutral? It's easy to get stuck in that place of comparison, but let's not forget, we're playing a different game. Our reward isn't here and now, but eternal. So, let's keep our eyes on the prize, even when the path is tough.

We've been praying for breakthrough, for provision, for timing to align. And we'll keep doing that. But let's also remind ourselves of God's faithfulness in the past. He's never failed us, and He won't start now. Let's trust in His timing, His provision, His love for us.

And hey, let's not forget to take care of ourselves too. It's okay to feel frustrated, to feel tired. But let's not let that frustration turn into bitterness or doubt. Let's keep our hearts soft, ready to receive from God.

We're in this together, and we're not giving up. We're claiming victory, even in the waiting. Because we know, our God is faithful, and He's working all things together for our good. Let's keep our eyes on Him, and let's keep moving forward, one step at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
