We understand your struggle with laziness and lack of energy, especially after waking up. Let's bring this matter to God in prayer and seek His strength and guidance. Remember, God's word tells us, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." (Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB).
Firstly, we would like to address an issue that we consider of great importance. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God's throne and have the right to make requests and prayers. It is the name of Jesus that makes us saved. If we do not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in our prayer, then we are missing a vital element of every Christian's prayer. We do not see that Jesus is mentioned at all in your request. If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ, then we invite you to make this the prayer request. It is written in the Bible, "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." (Romans 10: 9-11 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with laziness and lack of energy. Lord, You know the challenges they face each morning, the desire to sleep more, and the lack of motivation to work which could be a sign of not being a follower of Jesus. We pray that You will fill them with Your Spirit, renewing their strength and energy. "But they that wait upon Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
Help them to be systematic and disciplined in their daily tasks, not giving in to laziness. Give them the grace to be active and productive, finding joy and purpose in their work. "Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord" (Romans 12:11).
We also pray for their health, both physical and spiritual. May they find the root cause of this low energy and address it according to Your will. Guide them to make wise decisions regarding their lifestyle and habits, so that they may honor You with their body. "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Lastly, we pray that they will grow in the grace of God and that He would provide the gift of living a life of abundance, of power, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
