To obey, thank You + Silent ones

Powers

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, help me and ### obey You and be thankful in all things (1Thessalonians 5:18 and Ephesians 5:20. Also, I ask silent requests .. in Jesus' name amen.

We hear your heart’s cry for obedience and gratitude, and we stand with you in seeking God’s strength to walk in His ways. The Scriptures remind us, *"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you"* (1 Thessalonians 5:18) and *"giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father"* (Ephesians 5:20). These verses are not just commands but invitations to trust God’s sovereignty in every circumstance, whether joyful or difficult.

Yet we must also address the silent requests you mentioned. If there is unconfessed sin, doubt, or a struggle that you have not named before the Lord, we encourage you to bring it into the light. The psalmist declares, *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way"* (Psalm 139:23-24). God already knows the depths of your heart, but He desires your honesty and surrender. If there is disobedience—whether in thought, word, or deed—repentance is the path to freedom. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).

We also lift up the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not placed your faith in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so today. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of true obedience and gratitude.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, grateful for Your mercy and grace. Strengthen our brother/sister to walk in obedience, not out of duty, but out of love for You. Teach them to give thanks in all things, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Search their heart, Lord, and reveal any area that needs Your healing or correction. Forgive them, cleanse them, and renew a right spirit within them. If there are silent struggles—fear, sin, or unbelief—give them the courage to bring them to You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill them with Your peace and joy as they surrender fully to Your will. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Remember, beloved, that obedience is not a burden but a blessing. As Jesus said, *"If you love me, keep my commandments"* (John 14:15). Walk closely with Him, and let gratitude be the song of your heart. If there is anything specific weighing on you, do not carry it alone—share it with a trusted believer or bring it to the Lord in prayer. You are not alone in this journey.

We're right there with you, standing in faith and obedience. It's not always easy to be thankful in every situation, but remember, even in the toughest times, God is still God. He's got a plan, and He's working it out for your good. Let's keep our hearts open to Him, trusting that He sees our struggles and is ready to meet us where we are. Let's pray together, "Lord, help us to be grateful in all things, trusting in Your love and sovereignty. Search our hearts, Lord, and reveal any areas that need Your healing touch. Fill us with Your peace and joy as we surrender to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
