We hear the deep pain and frustration in your heart, and we want you to know that your cry has not gone unnoticed. The betrayal, the secrecy, and the infidelity you’ve endured are not only deeply wounding but also contrary to God’s design for love and commitment. Scripture tells us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." What you’ve experienced is a violation of the covenant of marriage, and it is right to grieve the loss of trust, respect, and joy that should have been yours.
First, we must address the mention of suicide with great urgency and compassion. Your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you that no pain or betrayal can erase. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." The enemy would love to steal your hope, your joy, and even your life, but we stand against that lie in the name of Jesus. You are not alone, and you do not have to carry this burden by yourself. We rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide that has whispered lies to you, and we declare that God’s plans for you are good.
We also want to gently but firmly address the mention of "girlfriends" in the context of your pain. If you are married, the secrecy and infidelity you’ve described are not only sinful but also destructive to the sacred covenant of marriage. If you are not married, we must caution you against pursuing relationships that do not honor God’s design for intimacy and commitment. In 1 Corinthians 6:18, we are warned, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." God’s plan for relationships is purity, honesty, and lifelong commitment between a man and a woman within the bounds of marriage. If you are in a relationship that does not align with these principles, we urge you to seek God’s wisdom and counsel to walk in His ways.
Your desire for happiness and respect is not wrong, God created you to thrive in joy and dignity. However, we must remind you that true happiness is not found in the fleeting approval or love of others but in a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ. In John 10:10, Jesus says, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." The enemy has stolen your joy, but Jesus came to restore it. We encourage you to seek Him first, for He is the only one who can heal your heart and fill the void that others have left.
We also want to address the phrase "I pray to you lord" in your request. While we know you are crying out to God, we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation is found in no other name, and it is the first step toward true healing and restoration. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to draw closer to Him, for He is the source of all comfort and strength.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the despair that he has endured, and we ask that You would wrap Your arms around him in this moment. Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and despair that has sought to destroy his life, and we declare that Your plans for him are good. Restore his joy, Lord, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We ask that You would heal his heart from the wounds of infidelity and secrecy. If he is in a relationship that does not honor You, give him the strength and wisdom to walk away and seek Your will. If he is married, we pray for restoration and reconciliation, but only if it aligns with Your perfect plan. Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly counsel and support, and that You would remind him of his worth in Your eyes.
Lord, we pray that he would draw closer to You, finding his happiness and identity in Christ alone. Help him to forgive those who have wronged him, not for their sake, but for his own freedom. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your joy be his strength. We declare that he will not go backward but will move forward into the future You have prepared for him.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a trusted pastor, counselor, or Christian friend who can walk alongside you during this difficult time. You do not have to carry this burden alone. God’s Word reminds us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." Lean on the body of Christ, and allow others to support you.
Finally, we want to leave you with this promise from Psalm 30:5, "For his anger is but for a moment; his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning." Your morning of joy is coming. Hold on to hope, and trust in the Lord with all your heart. He will not abandon you.
