We join with you in this holy hunger and we rejoice to hear such a longing for the fullness of God, for intimacy with Him, for reverent obedience and for all the benefits that flow from walking closely with Him. This is the hunger that God Himself creates and delights to satisfy.

We are encouraged by your desire to know Him intimately and to walk in the hope of our calling and the glorious inheritance Christ purchased for us. As it is written, His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue, by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises, that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust 2 Peter 1:3-4. Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him Heb 11:6. We are called to ask, seek and knock, and it is promised that everyone who asks receives, he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened Matt 7:7-8.

We pray together for you and with you in Jesus' name.

Father, we thank You for the hunger You have placed in these hearts for Your Word, Your ways, Your love and the fullness of Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You would deepen that hunger, that as the deer pants for the water brooks, so our souls would pant after You Ps 42:1, and that You would fill those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled Matt 5:6. Teach us to desire the pure milk of the Word, that we may grow thereby 1 Peter 2:2, and to meditate on Your Word day and night Ps 1:2, for man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God Matt 4:4.

We ask You to fill us anew with Your Holy Spirit, that we would not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Eph 5:18, and that the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control Gal 5:22-23 would abound in us. Grant us the conviction and teaching of the Spirit, for He will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment John 16:8, and He will guide us into all truth John 16:13. Pour out upon us again what You poured out at Pentecost, when they were all filled with the Holy Spirit Acts 2:4, and empower us to be Your witnesses Acts 1:8.

We ask for protection from the world, the flesh, and the devil. Help us not to love the world or the things that are in the world 1 John 2:15, to walk by the Spirit so we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh Gal 5:16, and to be sober and watchful, for our adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, and to resist him, steadfast in our faith. Keep us from evil John 17:15 and guard us, for we know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him 1 John 5:18.

We ask for wisdom and understanding, for insight into Your ways and into what is to come. Give us wisdom liberally as You have promised to those who ask in faith James 1:5, and open our minds that we might understand the Scriptures Luke 24:45. Help us to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God Eph 3:19, and to love You with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves Mark 12:30-31. Teach us reverent obedience, for to obey is better than sacrifice 1 Sam 15:22 and if we love You we will keep Your commandments John 14:15. Keep our hearts content in You, for godliness with contentment is great gain 1 Tim 6:6, and when we delight ourselves in You, You will give us the desires of our heart Ps 37:4.

We thank You that all Your promises are yes and amen in Christ 2 Cor 1:20 and that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in us. We ask that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:7 as we continue to seek You with thanksgiving.

We encourage you to continue to press in, to remain in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who will spur you on toward love and good works Heb 10:24-25. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you James 4:8. He is faithful, and He delights to reveal Himself to those who seek Him with the whole heart Jer 29:13. We stand with you in faith, believing that He who began this good work will be faithful to nourish it, strengthen it, and cause you to grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men Luke 2:52 as you walk in Christ. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, our righteousness, our holiness and redemption 1 Cor 1:30, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer. The longing you expressed to know God more intimately, to walk in reverent obedience and to be filled with His Spirit, is itself evidence of His work in you, and we thank God for that hunger with you.

We love how you named so many facets of that desire together. In our own walk we have found it helps to remember the Spirit works in balance, bringing power to live for Christ, truth to guide us in His ways, and fruit that slowly shapes our character into Christlike love. When those stay together, we are kept from chasing experience alone or knowledge alone, and instead grow in wholeness over time. That growth is often not instant but cultivated, like fruit that forms as we stay connected to Him.

One simple way to keep this longing alive is to keep a steady, unhurried rhythm. You might choose one consistent time and place to be in Scripture and prayer, not as a duty to earn anything, but as space to listen and respond, and to invite a trusted believer or small group to walk with you and pray with you in it.

Father, we lift our brother to You and ask that You deepen his hunger for Your Word, fill him afresh with Your Spirit, and form in him love, wisdom and joyful obedience. Draw him into closer fellowship with Jesus and guide his steps each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

There is a sacred blessedness in the very hunger which your prayer expresses, for flesh cannot transform itself into spirit and the carnal man knows not the things of God, but you know Him for He dwells with you and shall be in you. This longing for the fulness of the Holy Spirit, for intimate knowledge and reverent obedience, is itself the gracious work of the Spirit who alone can reveal God in His own light, and it is a sure token that God has begun a good work which He will not forsake.

I join my heart with yours before the throne of grace and praise God that He has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of Him, and exceeding great and precious promises that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature. May the Lord fulfill in you that prayer of the apostle, that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened you may know what is the hope of His calling and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand.

I pray that the Holy Spirit who now dwells with you may be known more and more as dwelling in you, not merely to help as He helped the apostles of old, but to abide in you as in His temple to the end, and to be your reliance for perseverance in divine grace. May He create in you a daily and deep hunger for the Scriptures, that your delight may be in the law of the Lord and that you may esteem the words of His mouth more than your necessary food, finding them sweeter than honey and as bread for the soul. May He keep you in fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, walking humbly with your God not only on the Sabbath but on Monday and every day, in common things as well as in holy duties, with a broken and contrite spirit that trembles at His word.

And I entreat the Lord to keep you from the world and its vanities, from the flesh and from the deceiver of old, that you may be kept from evil and preserved blameless. May He grant you insight into the Scriptures as He opened the understanding of His disciples, and give you practical wisdom liberally as you ask in faith, with love for God with all heart and soul and strength and love for your neighbor, and with the fruit of the Spirit abounding in you. May He teach you contentment with God Himself, so that you are kept from the snares of gold and glory and all that would draw the heart aside, and may you grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man as you imitate the Lord Jesus who was obedient unto death and is now exalted in power.

May the peace of God which passes all understanding guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus as you continue to ask and seek and knock, for our God delights to give good gifts to His children and to plead the cause of their souls. May your life be a plain and holy witness that you have talked with God and God has heard you, and that you know what you testify because the Spirit of God bears witness with your spirit that you are His.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Amen and faithful witness, in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen, and through whom we have righteousness and holiness and redemption, I commend you to His keeping. May He build you as a living stone upon the Corner Stone and keep you till He brings you to see His face in glory.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
