To humble & soften evil hearts

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I am currently raising my grandson & it hasn't been easy for me. I am single it's just him & I. I am on a fixed income and am currently looking for a stable place to stay for us. We were staying with somebody I thought was a friend till I got on my feet. Everything was going fine & slowly she started changing. One day out the blue she decided we needed to go. I told her ok but can you give us a couple weeks to find somewhere to go first. She agreed & we stayed at another friend's house for a couple days to be out her way. All our things are still at her house EVERYTHING I worked hard for to provide for my grandson clothes birth certificate shoes jackets blankets etc... I called her 3 days ago & she told me she wasn't home. I explained that I needed clothes for us both & I needed to come by asap. Here it is 5 days & she has not bothered letting me know I can come & get our belongings to move to storage. I know it's just material things but there all we got & things I worked so hard to get for us both. I started from below the dirt with literally nothing. We need our stuff. I do believe she is struggling with mental & possibly substance related issues her train of thought is very paranoid & thinks everybody is plotting on her it could be evil or demonic attacks on her as well . Idk exactly what it is but I would like to pray for God to soften her heart & remove any I'll will or evil thoughts she has towards me & make it possible for us to get all of our belongings safe & untouched & not allow us to go thru anymore loses. Thank you very much!

We hear the heaviness of what you are carrying and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord. Raising your grandson on your own on a fixed income and starting over from nothing is a great labor of love, and God sees every sacrifice you have made to provide clothes, shelter and security for him. He has a special care for those who care for the fatherless and for grandparents who step in with such love. We thank God for your perseverance and for your desire not to seek revenge but to pray for this woman even while you are in need.

We are moved by your request to pray for God to humble and soften her heart. Scripture tells us The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Proverbs 21:1 and also I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. Only God can truly change a heart that has grown hard, paranoid or bound by substance use or spiritual oppression, and we believe He is able to do that. We also hear your discernment that there may be mental struggles, substance related issues or even demonic influence at work. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we do not wrestle against this woman herself but we pray for her deliverance and healing.

We also want to gently encourage you with what the Word says about how we respond when we are wronged. You have shown grace in giving her space and asking calmly for time, and that honors the Lord. Jesus calls us to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44. And we are reminded Beloved, don't avenge yourselves, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. That does not mean you should not seek to recover what belongs to you and your grandson. Those belongings, including his birth certificate and clothing and blankets, are needful provision you worked hard to obtain, and it is right to pursue their return in a peaceful and lawful way. If she continues to withhold them, it may be wise to seek help from a trusted pastor, a mature believer to go with you as a witness, or a local non emergency civil standby through law enforcement to safely retrieve your property, all while continuing to pray for her.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought near to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon His name and trust Him not only for this housing and provision but for eternal life.

We pray together now for you, for your grandson and for this woman.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear grandmother and her grandson to You. You know their need for a stable home and You know every item that is being held from them. You see the birth certificate, the clothes, the jackets, the blankets, and You know how hard she has worked from nothing to provide them. We ask that You would soften this woman's heart, remove any ill will, paranoia, bitterness or evil thoughts toward them, and release any hold of the enemy upon her mind. We pray You would deliver her from any substance bondage or spiritual oppression and give her a new heart and a sound mind. Lord, make a way where there seems to be no way for our sister to retrieve all of her and her grandson's belongings safely and untouched and without further loss or conflict. We ask that You would convict her to respond and to act with kindness and quickly.

We also ask for Your provision and protection over this family. Be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. Provide a stable, safe and affordable place for them to live, and supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Guard this precious grandson, give him peace and security, and give his grandmother wisdom, strength and rest as she carries this responsibility alone. Help her to cast all her anxiety on You because You care for her. 1 Peter 5:7. Let her see Your hand moving even in this painful waiting.

We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us and that You will act for Your glory and for their good. Amen.

We hear how much you are carrying on your own, raising your grandson on a fixed income while trying to find a stable home. To have worked so hard from nothing to provide clothes, blankets, jackets and important papers like his birth certificate, and now be unable to get them back, is heartbreaking and we understand why you feel so unsettled.

It makes sense you would want to see her heart soften and the tension eased so you can recover what is yours peacefully. We are praying with you for that, and for protection over both you and your grandson and over your belongings.

A gentle next step that has helped others in a similar spot is to make the request clear in writing, keep a simple list and photos of what is there if you can, and ask your local non-emergency police line if an officer can stand by for a brief civil standby while you collect your things. It keeps everyone safe and often helps the conversation stay calm. If that is not possible, a trusted third person or a local legal aid clinic or 211 community resource line can point you to housing and storage help nearby.

Father, we lift this grandmother and grandson to You. You see their need for a safe home and for their belongings to be returned whole. Soften hearts where there is hurt and suspicion, guard what they have worked for, and guide them to wise help and a stable place to stay. Give them rest and steady hope as You provide day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your trial has been laid before the Lord with much prayer and sympathy, and we have entreated Him on behalf of you and your grandson.

To be without a settled home, to be upon a fixed income with a little child entrusted to your care, and then to be denied even the clothes and coverings you have labored to provide, is a heavy affliction. The Lord sees it. He who was meek and lowly in heart knows what it is to have nowhere to lay His head, and His heart is tender toward those who are weary and heavy laden. He gathers the needy and the fatherless under His wing, and not a tear nor a want is hidden from Him.

You have asked rightly that God would soften and humble a hard heart. The Scriptures teach us that the heart is by nature as stone, firm as the nether millstone, and that no hand but the Lord's can change it. It is a peculiar work of our holy religion that it begins within. The promise is, I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Only the Holy Spirit can do this. He alone searches the heart and can turn it from hardness and suspicion and ill will to tenderness and truth. So we have prayed that the Lord would work upon this woman, that He would convict where there is sin, bring light where there is darkness and confusion of mind, deliver from every bondage of substance and from every assault of the evil one, and grant repentance and a heart of flesh that would desire to do justly and to restore what belongs to another.

We have prayed also that the Lord would preserve all that belongs to you and your grandson, that what you have gathered with so much toil would be kept safe and untouched and restored to you without further loss. The Lord is able to incline the heart whithersoever He will, and to make a way where there seems to be none. He can speak to the heart of stone and make it gush forth with repentance like the rock in the wilderness. We have asked Him to open a door for you to recover your belongings in peace, and to guard you both from strife and harm in the doing of it.

We have prayed further for your present need, that the God who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows would provide a stable dwelling for you and your grandson, a quiet home where you may bring him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Trust Him who has said, I will be inquired of to do it for them. Go and inquire of Him. Pour out your heart before Him daily, for to the heart the light must come, and He delights to give a heart to know Him and to admire His character.

In these days, seek also the help of the godly and of lawful means. Keep a faithful record of what is yours, seek counsel of wise and peaceable brethren and, where needful, of those appointed to keep peace and justice in the land, that all may be done decently and without contention. Let your spirit be that of Him who was meek and lowly in heart, not rendering evil for evil, but committing your cause to Him that judgeth righteously.

May the love of God be shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit, to sustain you and to confirm your hope. May He who gave His Son to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him, be your strength and recovery. He will strengthen you and you shall walk in His name. Your heart, fixed and trusting in the Lord, shall find quietness even while troubled on every side, for He has bowed the heart by His grace to bear what He appoints and to find deliverance in Him.

We continue to pray that the Lord would soften every evil imagination, remove all ill will, grant you favor in obtaining your possessions, supply a home suited to your needs, and keep you and your dear grandson in His perfect care until He brings you into a place of rest.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart and trusting us to pray with you in this difficult season. Caring for your grandson alone on a fixed income while searching for stable housing is a heavy burden, and to have all of your belongings, your clothes, his birth certificate, jackets and blankets, kept from you after you worked so hard to provide them, is painful and distressing. It is understandable that you feel anxious and weary after starting with so little and striving to build a secure life for you both.

Scripture warns us about the danger of a hardened heart. As it is written, take heed lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, for from hardness unbelief arises, and just as parts of the body that have become callous do not yield to the physician, so souls that are hardened do not yield to the word of God. A hard heart refuses to listen, to remember mercy, and to act with kindness. Only God can soften what has become hard, open eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear, and turn ill will into goodwill.

We join you in prayer for this woman who is holding your possessions. We pray that God would soften her heart, remove any ill will, bitterness, paranoia or evil thoughts toward you, and bring clarity and peace to her mind. If she is struggling with mental distress, substance related issues, or spiritual oppression, we pray that the Lord would bring conviction, healing and deliverance, and move her to act justly and compassionately and to release all of your belongings safely and completely without damage or loss. We pray that God would restrain any harm and make a way for you to retrieve what is yours in peace and safety.

We also pray for you and your grandson. We ask our Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation, to provide for your daily needs, to open the door to stable and safe housing within your means, to guard your hearts from fear and discouragement, and to give you wisdom, strength and favor as you seek help. May He protect your grandson, comfort you both, and remind you that He sees your labor and your love and that He is your provider and defender.

We encourage you to continue to seek godly counsel and practical help as you wait on the Lord. Keep a careful record of what belongs to you, keep communication calm and in writing when possible, and reach out to your local church family, trusted pastors, or local legal aid or community services that assist grandparents and families in need for guidance on how to recover your property lawfully and safely. Do not face this alone.

We will continue to pray that God softens hearts, restores what has been withheld, and establishes you and your grandson in a secure home where you can live in peace. May the Lord grant you patience, protection, and provision in the days ahead, and may His will be done with mercy for all involved.
