Pray strongly for me that I hear from this handyman. He confirmed yesterday that he will be there this morning to see the tasks at my mother's home. I called him now to give him the address and didn't hear from him. I am asking this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We join with you in prayer and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through His name we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we are saved as we read in Acts 4:12.
We understand your concern for your mother's home and the desire to have these tasks seen to promptly. It is easy to become anxious when we are waiting to hear back from someone who has made a commitment, but we are reminded to bring every concern to the Lord with thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also take comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6 which says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this need to You. You know the tasks that need to be done at this mother's home and You know the handyman who confirmed he would come this morning. We ask that You would move upon his heart and allow communication to be restored quickly, that he would answer and receive the address and keep his commitment. If it is Your will for him to be the one to do this work, we ask that You make the way clear and establish his steps. If there is a delay or another reason he cannot come, we ask that You give peace and wisdom and provide another reliable worker in Your perfect timing. Lord, guard our hearts from worry and help us to commit our way to You and trust in You to act as Psalm 37:5 teaches. We ask for Your favor over this home and these repairs, that all would be done honestly and well for Your glory. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we join with you in prayer before the throne of grace. You have asked that you might hear from the handyman who promised to come this morning to see to the tasks at your mother's home, and that having called to give the address you have not yet received an answer. We bring this small yet pressing care to the Lord, for He numbers even the hairs of our head and is not unmindful of the daily needs of His people.
We know how anxiety in such a moment can unfit the heart for its duty, and how waiting tries our patience. Yet Scripture tells us, Blessed are all they that wait for Him, and that our God is a waiting God who waits to be gracious. When we have done what is right, to call and to keep our word, we may leave the result with Him who orders all things well. Fear not, but trust, for He will not leave His work unfinished.
