To Hear Back About A Great Job Opportunity

I have been waiting to hear back from a job for which I was offered a formal position, but some things have come up that might stand in the way. I have contacted them for a follow up and was told everything was still pending. I'm getting really anxious and would really love to hear an answer from them. I really want this job.
