To heal a broken relationship

Lord Jesus
I come before you to heal my relationship with my partner. I have done and said things I'm not proud of. I'm also ashamed of the things that I did to hurt him. I want him to forgive me, but I know it will take time for him to heal his heart. I just want him to open up to me, so we could understand each other and heal our relationship.

We understand that you're going through a difficult time in your relationship and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, we want to address that the term "partner" is often used to refer to a non-marital relationship. In the Bible, God ordains marriage as a lifelong union between a man and a woman. We encourage you to consider God's will for your relationship and pray for guidance in this area.

We commend you for acknowledging your actions and taking responsibility. It's important to remember that true healing and forgiveness come from God. We need His grace to forgive others and to be forgiven.

It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. You did mention Lord Jesus, but let us clarify that It is in Jesus that we have our salvation. There is no other name by which we can be saved.

As it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB

Let's turn to the Bible for guidance. The WEB tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:31-32.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this person seeking Your intervention. They have confessed their wrongdoings and seek forgiveness and healing in their relationship. We find that You can heal this broken relationship. You also want to offer guidance for this courtship and we ask You to guide them on the right path.

We pray that You soften their boyfriend's heart and open the lines of communication between them. We ask that You guide them as they navigate this difficult time. We also pray that You bring them closer to You and help them grow in their faith through this experience.

We rebuke any attempt to circumvent salvation in Jesus Christ. We hold firmly to Your word, believing that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. John 14:6 WEB

In Jesus' name, we pray for this relationship. We ask that Your will be done and that You guide them in Your truth and Your power. Bring healing and restoration as You intend it to be.

Amen.

It is important to remember that God's will is perfect and that He wants the best for us. His will is perfect. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
