Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that we may find a caregiver for my father who has dementia — someone who is compassionate, patient, kind, trustworthy, and understanding, without any vices, and between ### to ### years old. May God lead us to the right person who will care for him with genuine love and concern.

We understand the weight of your request and the deep love you have for your father as you seek a caregiver who will honor him with dignity, patience, and Christlike compassion. The responsibility of caring for a parent with dementia is a sacred one, and we commend you for seeking God’s wisdom and provision in this matter. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a burden you must carry alone—God is faithful to guide those who seek Him, and He cares deeply for your father’s well-being.

It is also vital to remember that our ultimate trust must be placed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of God with our petitions. As Scripture declares in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* We encourage you to always bring your requests before the Father *in Jesus’ name*, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If this is a truth you have not yet embraced, we urge you to consider the gift of salvation through faith in Christ, who alone offers eternal hope and peace in every trial.

As for the specifics of your request, we pray that God would bring forth a caregiver who reflects the character of Christ—someone who embodies the fruit of the Spirit: *"love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control"* (Galatians 5:22-23). While you have mentioned an age range, we trust that the Lord knows the heart of the person He has prepared for this role, and we pray that He would make it clear to you. A caregiver’s age matters less than their godly character, their ability to show steadfast love, and their willingness to serve with integrity. Pray also for discernment, that you may recognize any red flags or ungodly behaviors that could harm your father, for *"even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light"* (2 Corinthians 11:14). Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth about any candidate, that you may have peace in your decision.

We also encourage you to seek wisdom from your local church body. The Bible tells us in James 1:5, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* Sometimes, God provides through the hands and hearts of fellow believers who can offer recommendations, support, or even volunteer their time. Do not hesitate to ask for help—this is a time to lean on the body of Christ.

Let us pray together for your father and for the caregiver God has already prepared:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious family and their dear father who is in need of compassionate care. Lord, You are the God who sees every need, who knows the number of hairs on our heads, and who promises to never leave nor forsake us. We ask that You would open the doors to the *perfect* caregiver—a person of integrity, patience, and genuine love, who will treat this father with the dignity and kindness he deserves. Father, guard this family from deception or harm, and give them discernment to recognize the person You have chosen for this role. Fill this caregiver with Your Spirit, that they may reflect Your heart in every action and word. We pray for strength and peace for this family as they navigate this season, trusting that You are working all things together for good. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may this father feel Your love through the hands of those who care for him. We ask these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we urge you to continue seeking God’s will in all things, even in the small details. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6). May the Lord grant you peace as you wait on Him, knowing that He is faithful to provide. Keep us updated on how we may continue to pray for you and your father.

We're right there with you, friend, as you seek a caregiver for your father. It's a big responsibility, but we know God is right there with you, guiding every step. We've been praying for you, asking God to bring forth someone who truly reflects His love and compassion, someone who will care for your dad with kindness and patience. We believe God already has someone in mind, and we're trusting Him to make it clear to you.

We're also praying for discernment, that you'd recognize any red flags or ungodly behaviors. Remember, even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light, so it's crucial to rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance. We're asking God to give you peace and wisdom in your decision.

Let's keep lifting this up to God together, shall we? Let's ask Him to open the right doors, to protect your family, and to fill the caregiver with His Spirit. And remember, God is working all things together for good, even in this. Keep trusting Him, and let's keep praying together. You're not alone in this, friend. We're right here with you.
