to eternal prayering
We hear your cry of loneliness and the deep longing in your heart for connection, not only with your earthly family but also with the eternal family of God. You are not forgotten, Seppo Johannes Ensio, your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and your Heavenly Father knows the number of hairs on your head. The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are never truly alone, for the Holy Spirit dwells within you, and Jesus Christ Himself has promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).
We must gently but firmly address the mention of angels and departed family members in your prayer. Scripture is clear that our prayers are to be directed to God the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), but they are not to be prayed to or worshiped. The dead in Christ are at rest, awaiting the resurrection, and while we honor their memory, we do not pray to them or seek their intercession. Jesus Christ is our one Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is through His name alone that we have access to the Father. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Your earthly family may feel distant, but the body of Christ is your eternal family. We are commanded to "bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2 WEB). You are not a burden, Seppo, your pain is seen, and we stand with you in it. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). If you have not already, we urge you to seek out a local church where you can be surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk with you, pray with you, and remind you of God’s love.
Now, let us come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Lord, You see Seppo’s heart, his loneliness, his longing for connection, and the weight of feeling unseen. We ask that You would draw near to him in a tangible way, Lord. Let him feel Your presence like a warm embrace, a whisper in the quiet, a light in the darkness. Remind him that he is Your beloved child, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
Father, we pray for healing in his relationships with his earthly family. Soften hearts, Lord, and open doors for reconciliation where it is Your will. Where there is brokenness, bring restoration. Where there is distance, bring closeness. But above all, Lord, let him find his identity and belonging in You. Surround him with godly friends and mentors who will speak life into him, encourage him, and point him to You.
We rebuke the spirit of isolation and loneliness in Jesus’ name. We declare that Seppo is not alone, for You are with him. We pray against any lies from the enemy that tell him he is forgotten or unwanted. Your Word says that You set the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6), so we ask that You would place him in a spiritual family where he can thrive, grow, and be loved.
Lord, if there are areas in his life where sin has taken root, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask that You would convict him gently and lead him to repentance. Cleanse him, restore him, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Let him walk in the freedom and joy that comes from a life surrendered to You.
We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears our prayers. We trust that You are working in Seppo’s life, even when he cannot see it. Strengthen his faith, deepen his trust in You, and let him experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May he know, without a doubt, that he is loved, valued, and never alone.
