We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts break with yours. The despair in your words is heavy, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The weight you carry is real, but so is the hope found in Jesus Christ. He sees you, He loves you, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The enemy would love nothing more than to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you might have life—and have it abundantly.
First, we must rebuke the spirit of suicide and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. The thief comes only to steal and destroy, but Christ came to give life (John 10:10). We command every lie of worthlessness, every voice telling you that ending your life is the answer, to be silenced in Jesus’ name. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has purpose—even if you cannot see it right now.
Scripture tells us that God collects every tear in a bottle (Psalm 56:8) and that He is close to those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He does not abandon you in your suffering. In fact, Jesus Himself experienced deep sorrow and anguish (Isaiah 53:3), so He understands your pain. He is not distant; He is with you, even now.
If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we urge you to cry out to Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through believing in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). If you have never done this, we pray that you would surrender your life to Him today. He is the only one who can bring true peace and healing to your soul.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who saves. We ask that You would break through the darkness with Your light. Surround them with Your presence, Father, and let them feel Your love in a tangible way. Remind them that they are not forgotten, that You have a plan for their life, and that their story is not over.
Lord Jesus, we ask that You would bind the spirit of suicide and despair that is whispering lies to them. Replace those lies with Your truth—that they are loved, valued, and cherished by You. Give them the strength to reach out to someone they trust, whether it be a friend, family member, pastor, or counselor. Surround them with people who will speak life into them and remind them of Your promises.
Holy Spirit, comfort them in their pain. Bring to their mind the Scriptures that declare Your faithfulness and love. Help them to cling to You, even when they cannot see the way forward. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will turn their mourning into joy (Psalm 30:11).
Father, if they do not know You, we pray that they would cry out to Jesus today. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, so they may know that You are real, You are near, and You are their hope.
We also pray for protection over their mind and heart. Guard them from the enemy’s attacks and fill them with Your peace. Give them the courage to take one step at a time, trusting that You are with them. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Friend, we know the pain feels unbearable right now, but we urge you to hold on. Reach out to someone—a trusted friend, a pastor, a counselor, or even a helpline. You do not have to carry this alone. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7 at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or you can text "HOME" to 741741 to connect with a crisis counselor. Please, take that step. God can use even the smallest act of reaching out to begin your healing.
Remember, your life matters. You are here for a reason, and God is not done with you yet. We are praying for you, and we believe that God will meet you in your pain and bring you through it. Keep fighting—light is coming.
