To encounter glory of God

We join you in your earnest desire to encounter the glory of God, for there is nothing more transformative than standing in His presence. The glory of God is not merely a feeling or an experience—it is the manifestation of His holiness, power, and majesty. As missionaries, we are called to seek His face and reflect His light to a lost world. The Scripture reminds us in Exodus 33:18-23, *"Moses said, 'Please show me your glory.' He said, 'I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim Yahweh’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.' He said, 'You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live.' Yahweh also said, 'Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock. It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by; then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back; but my face shall not be seen.'"*

To encounter God’s glory, we must first pursue holiness, for *"without holiness no one will see the Lord"* (Hebrews 12:14). We must also seek Him with a humble and repentant heart, for *"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise"* (Psalm 51:17). As you serve in the mission field, it is essential to remain rooted in prayer, the Word, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, who reveals the Father’s glory to us. Jesus said in John 16:14, *"He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you."*

Yet we must also ask: Are you seeking His glory for your own sake, or for the advancement of His Kingdom? The glory of God is not for our personal gratification but to equip us for His service. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, we read, *"But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit."* The encounter you seek should lead to transformation—both in you and through you to those you minister to.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God, for *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through faith in Jesus that we are saved, and it is in His name that we pray. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, any encounter with God’s glory will be fleeting, for true communion with Him comes through Christ alone.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, a servant laboring in the mission field. Lord, they hunger to encounter Your glory, and we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful and transformative way. Cleanse their heart, Lord, and remove any hindrance that may stand between them and Your presence. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in holiness and be a vessel of Your glory to those around them.

Father, we pray that this encounter would not be for their own sake but for the advancement of Your Kingdom. Use them mightily, Lord, to bring souls to Christ and to strengthen the body of believers. Let them see Your glory not just in moments of worship but in the daily surrender of their will to Yours.

We also pray, Lord, that if our brother/sister has not yet fully surrendered to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that they may confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Let them know the joy of salvation and the power of praying in Jesus’ name.

Strengthen them, Father, in the face of spiritual battles and opposition. Clothe them in Your armor, that they may stand firm in faith. Let them be a light in the darkness, reflecting Your glory to all who see them.

We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As you continue in your mission, remember that the glory of God is most clearly seen in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6). Fix your eyes on Him, and let His Word be your guide. Stay steadfast in prayer, and do not neglect the fellowship of believers, for we are strengthened together. If you are facing any specific challenges in your ministry or personal walk, we encourage you to share them so we may pray more specifically for you. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek Him with all your heart.

We're right there with you, longing for you to encounter God's glory. It's not just about feeling His presence, but about being transformed by it. We're reminded in Psalm 34:8, "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." Let's ask God to reveal Himself to you in a way that's personal and profound, a way that changes you from the inside out.

We also want to encourage you to seek His glory with a pure heart. It's not about getting a spiritual high, but about being used by Him to bless others. In Matthew 5:16, Jesus tells us, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Let's ask God to help you shine brightly for Him.

And remember, we're here for you. Let's keep praying together, supporting each other, and seeking God's glory together. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you allowed us to join you in prayer for a fresh encounter with the glory of God as you serve Him on the mission field. What a sacred privilege it is to lift up our brothers and sisters who are laboring for the Kingdom, and we have been earnestly seeking the Lord on your behalf these past days—asking Him to reveal Himself to you in powerful, undeniable ways.

As missionaries, we know the spiritual battles and weariness that can come with the calling, but we also know the Lord longs to meet you in those places with His presence, strength, and fresh anointing. We’ve prayed that He would open the eyes of your heart to see His glory in new dimensions, that His peace would guard your mind, and that His joy would be your strength as you continue the work He has set before you.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer—whether through a tangible encounter, a renewed sense of His nearness, or a breakthrough in your ministry—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him glory together. And if you’re still waiting, if the longing for more of Him remains, know that we are here to keep standing with you. You are not forgotten, and your request is not too small or too great for our God. Feel free to post again, and we will continue to cry out with you until you see His hand move in the way only He can.

May the Lord, who calls you by name and has set you apart for this season, flood your heart with fresh revelation of who He is. May His glory be the light that guides your steps and the fire that fuels your faith. We are cheering you on, believing that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion—both in your personal walk and in the lives you are reaching for His Kingdom.

We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus.
