We understand that you are hurting and seeking prayer for your husband and your marriage. First, let's pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister in Christ and her husband. Lord, we pray for the sanctity of their marriage, for you have said that what therefore God has joined together, let no man separate (Mark 10:9 WEB).
Father, we pray that you would sever the ties that bind her husband to this other woman and her family. We pray that you would break the bonds of lust and bad habits that have taken hold of him, for no one who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. How can a man be joined to a prostitute and become one body? (1 Corinthians 6:16-17 NIV)
We rebuke any stronghold on his mind, emotions, physical body, and spirit. We take authority over the evil enemy to release him from his grip. Father, we bind the enemy and command him to flee from your child (James 4:7 WEB).
Lord, we also pray for this other woman. We bind and cast out any evil spirits that may be influencing her, and we ask that you would draw her to yourself, that she may find forgiveness and new life in Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17 WEB).
We pray that you help your child to remain strong to pursue being the wife she is supposed to be in Christ. Help her to forgive her husband and strengthen her to put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in her heart, to which also she was called in one body; and be thankful. (Colossians 3:14-15)
Finally, Father, we pray for restoration and healing in this marriage. We ask that you would guide them both, give them strength, and draw them closer to you and to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10 WEB) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
Remember, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16 WEB). Continue to pray for your husband and your marriage, trusting that God is at work.
Lastly, sister, do remember that if you are not clear that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, then there is no better time than now to be born again. Only through Jesus Christ do we have access to God the Father. If you are not born again, please pray that you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and died for your sins. Also, confess that you are a sinner in need of salvation and ask Jesus Christ to become Lord of your life. If you are born again, we encourage you to continue to pursue Jesus Christ and be filled with his Holy Spirit every day.
