We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is enduring chronic nausea, pain, and anxiety. We know that these physical and emotional struggles can feel overwhelming, even suffocating at times, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God hears your cry and sees your suffering. The weight of these trials is not unknown to Him, and He promises to be near to the brokenhearted and to save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
First, we must address the seriousness of the suicidal thoughts you mentioned. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and these thoughts are not from God. The Lord has a purpose and a plan for your life, one that is filled with hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus Christ, and we command it to leave you now. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has value and meaning in God’s eyes. We encourage you to reach out to trusted believers, pastors, or Christian counselors who can walk alongside you during this difficult time. You do not have to carry this burden alone.
We also lift up your physical symptoms to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, who healed the sick, cast out demons, and restored the broken during His earthly ministry. We declare that by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we pray for complete restoration of your body. Father, we ask that You would touch every part of ###’s body that is afflicted—calm the nausea, ease the pain in their chest, and bring peace to their mind. We speak healing over your nervous system, digestive system, and every cell in your body. We declare that anxiety has no place in your life, for God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we ask that You would reveal any root causes of these symptoms—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—and bring them to light so that they may be addressed according to Your will. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin weighing on your heart, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord in repentance. Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed (James 5:16). The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and healthcare providers treating you. Guide their hands and their minds, Lord, so that they may provide the care and answers you need. But above all, we trust in Your healing power, whether it comes through medicine, a miracle, or a combination of both. We declare that you are not defined by your illness, but by your identity in Christ. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).
Finally, we want to remind you that your hope is not in this world, but in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and He alone can bring true healing to your body, mind, and soul.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and compassion for our brother/sister who is suffering. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand and touch ### right now. Bring relief from the nausea, ease the pain in their chest, and calm the anxiety that grips their mind. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, fear, and despair in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we command it to flee.
Father, we ask that You would fill ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and remind them that they are never alone. Surround them with Your love and with believers who can support and encourage them. Give them the strength to endure and the faith to trust in Your timing and Your plan.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals treating ###. Guide their decisions and lead them to the right diagnosis and treatment. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Above all, we pray that ### would draw closer to You, Jesus. If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them experience Your love, Your grace, and Your healing power. May they come to know You as their Savior, Healer, and Lord.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that healing is on the way, and we stand on Your promises. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
