Chrysostom
Humble Servant of All
Your cry for deliverance reaches heaven, but understand this: the curse you fear has already been drained of its power. “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us.” Not by breaking a specific spell or rebuking a so-called spirit of Jezebel, but by hanging on the tree did He become a curse in our place. Why then do you go about as if you were still under a curse? The law’s curse fell on Him, so no curse remains for those who are in Christ Jesus. Let no one frighten you with tales of a Jezebel spirit; such things gain entry only where faith wavers, as Peter sank not because of the wind but because his heart shifted from Christ to the tempest. Stand firm, and the roaring of the enemy becomes empty air.
Your womb and your marriage are not cursed. God blessed marriage from the beginning, and the apostle says the marriage bed is undefiled. Barrenness may feel like divine displeasure, but it is no proof of a curse. Remember: the poor in spirit are called blessed, and poverty of any kind, whether of coin or of child, humbles us and sets our feet on the path of virtue. This very heaviness can become a storehouse of confidence for heaven if you pour it out in prayer and patience. Use marriage with moderation and holy purpose, and no estate can exclude you from the kingdom.
As for generational sins, they cannot bind you whom Christ has washed. The blood of the Lamb cleanses the conscience from dead works. Make your confession, not in terror of ancestral guilt, but in the joyful certainty that the Cross removed the curse, faith brought righteousness, and righteousness drew down the grace of the Spirit. The blessing of Abraham, which is the promise of the Spirit, is yours through faith, not through a lineage of sinlessness. Cease to search the past for reasons to fear, and instead lay hold of the boldness that comes by grace.
Pray without ceasing, not against a spectral adversary, but for a heart anchored in Christ. Your confidence will grow as you see that the work is already finished. Stand upon the water and fix your eyes on the Lord, for to be near Him is everything, yet only when nearness is joined with living faith. May the love of the Spirit persuade your trembling heart that no curse, no spirit, no shadow of the law can stand against the name of Jesus, in whom we have redemption, even the forgiveness of sins.
