To Be Christlike Or Not To Be Christlike; That Is The Question.

We spent so much time trying to be like Christ that we forget the whole purpose of our being. We see that Christ reacted a certain way, so we pattern ourselves in the same manner. We saw that Christ said this or that, so we say the same things that He says. We put so much energy in copying Jesus that we tend to miss the whole point of our existence. So what am I saying? I'm saying, that if we focus on Jesus rather than copying Him, we accomplish our goal of being Christlike. Jesus dose not want us to act like HIm. He wants us to BE like HIm. When we copy Jesus, we are simply acting like Him. But, if we fall in Love with HIm and focus totally on Him, then we,in a since, become Him. Then we are actually BEING like Him.
