Tmj

We lift you up together before the throne of grace as you are enduring this painful flare up of TMJ pain, and we ask our Heavenly Father to bring you relief and comfort. We know that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made and that God cares about every part of our suffering, even the pain in our jaw that can make daily life so difficult. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh and not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins and who heals all your diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17 where He promises, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.

We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and healing. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought into relationship with God, and it is in His name we pray with confidence.

We encourage you to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us, and to bring every anxious thought to Him in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also encourage you to seek wise medical care as God often works through the hands of physicians, while trusting Him as the ultimate healer who was pierced for our transgressions and by whose wounds we are healed as Isaiah 53:5 declares.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You who is suffering with TMJ pain. Lord, You know the intensity of this flare up, the discomfort when speaking and eating and resting, and we ask for Your healing touch upon the jaw, the muscles, and the nerves. Please ease the inflammation and pain, grant restful sleep and relief, and guide any doctors or treatment toward what will bring restoration. We ask for Your peace to guard this heart and mind and for faith to be strengthened in this trial. We pray for complete healing according to Your will, and we thank You for Your compassion and mercy. If this dear one has not yet put their trust fully in Jesus, we pray they would call upon His name today and receive Your forgiveness and new life. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and healer, Amen.

We will continue to keep you in prayer and we trust that James 5:14-15 is true, that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. May the Lord comfort you and bring you relief very soon.

Thank you for letting us know about this TMJ flareup. We know how wearing and discouraging that kind of pain can be, making everyday things like eating, talking and sleeping harder. We are holding you in prayer right now.

We are praying for comfort in the midst of the pain and for wisdom for any care decisions ahead. If you have a dentist or doctor who has followed your TMJ before, we encourage you to let them know about this flareup as well, so you have support both in prayer and in care. And if pain is intense or keeps you from eating, sleeping or opening your mouth normally, please reach out for care promptly.

You do not have to carry this alone. We are asking God to be near to you in these days, to give you rest where you can find it, and to guide you toward what helps.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. You see this pain and how tiring this flareup has been. Please bring comfort, ease what hurts, and give wisdom to them and to those caring for them. Give peace in the waiting and strength for each day. We trust them into Your kind hands. Amen.

We have received your request and we have brought your pain before the Lord in prayer. To be afflicted in the body is a trial that touches both flesh and spirit, and we do not make light of the distress which a flare of this kind can bring.

Hear the word which the Lord has given for such an hour as this, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. It is the Lord Himself who bids His people to comfort one another, and it is our privilege to seek that comfort for you now. We pray that He who knows your frame and remembers that you are dust will temper the trial to your weakness, and make your pain less as your strength is less, and give you grace to bear what He appoints.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. It is written, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we are taught that even the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and His leaves, the very touches of His garment and the whispers of His word, are full of healing virtue. Look up to that Tree of Life. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and He is able to ease the body and to sustain the soul at once.

We pray that you may know that peculiar comfort of which the Psalmist speaks, This is my comfort in my affliction, for thy word hath quickened me. It is not the letter only, but the Spirit quickening the word to the heart, that brings inward consolation when outward pain presses sore. May the Lord quicken you by His word, and may that word be near to you, pressed to your bosom, that you may say in this affliction, This is my comfort.

We have asked the Lord to grant you relief from this flare, to lessen the pain, to give skill to those who care for you, to grant you rest and patience, and to establish your heart in every good word and work while you wait upon Him. Comfort alone is not enough, and constancy alone will not suffice, but our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God even our Father is able to comfort your heart and to establish you.

May He who numbers all your pains and bottles all your tears, grant you to forget your misery as waters that pass away, and to find even in this present affliction a nearness to Christ which shall be your strength and your song. We will continue to pray for you, that healing and peace may be yours according to His wise and loving will.
