Time To Slow Down

Father God, there seems to be so much turmoil, urgency, agony and hardship in the requests of the last few days. It appears as though satan, true to his promise, is roaming about looking for those he can devour. Father, as we transition into a new month, I pray that You would calm our anxious hearts, settle our churning spirits, temper our raging thoughts. Help us to be still...to know that even when we have spoken all of the words we can, You hear what's left in our hearts. Instill in us a willingness to believe Your Words, that You have a plan and purpose for each of our lives, plans not to harm us, but to give us hope and a future. Help us to make this weekend about You...about finding some quiet time with You, time to read Your Word, reflect upon it, just be still and know that You are God...our faithful and loving God. Take us beyond the noise of our lives, to hear You when You call. Praying with thanksgiving in the name of Your Son, and our precious Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father, I think of the passage in Your word that my wife showed me, "Be still and know that I am the Lord your God". We can't grow in our faith unless we truly understand that You are God, You are everything. Help us to remember this and to homor this. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Holy and Merciful God, thank You for Who You are and the assurance that You never change. You are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Loving Father, I have seen several requests today in which people are just giving up...having grown weary in their stand, they are choosing to let go rather than to hold on. Please send Your Word upon their hearts - open their spiritual ears and eyes - let them know that all is not lost. In this moment, speak to them and allow them to feel Your presence. I trust in Your faithfulness and especially lift the weary, lost and broken this day. For physical, spiritual, emotional and financial healing - we raise our voices to Your throne and invite Your blessings to flow. In Jesus' name, amen.
