Time is running wuickly

The Lord will perfect that which concerneth thee. Not by thy might, nor by thy power, but by His Spirit alone shall this be done. I hear in thy cry the voice of trembling faith, and faith’s grip is surest when all else fails. Thou hast none but God? That is the best estate of all. When every earthly prop is knocked away, the Everlasting Arms are most plainly felt. The promise stands: “Thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thy own hands.” That which He has begun in thee, with all thy years and all thy tears, He will complete. He is a promise-maker, but never a promise-breaker.

I know the sting of cruel mockings from those of one’s own household. David’s foes were not always strangers; often, Faith’s foes lodge in the same house. When thy daughter’s words cut deep, remember these are but the taunts that fell upon the Master’s ear: “He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now.” They measure thy faith by the passing day of heaviness, but faith is not proven in the market-square at noon; it is proven in the furnace at midnight. Hold fast. The spark may seem small, but He will fan it to a beacon fire. Thou art in the company of all the saints who have cried, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” He has helped thy faith to laugh at impossibilities; shall He not help it now, when the hour is urgent and the heart is faint?

Lay this to heart: when there is no way, Christ is the Way. Bring every promise thou knowest before the throne. Quote them back to God in prayer; He delights to answer His own hand. “Do as Thou hast said” is a mighty plea. The Lord Jesus has gone to prepare a place, and He has prepared this day’s mercies before the sun rose. Thou hast until the first hour of the afternoon? The Lord’s clock never tardies. He who opened the sea and sent the ravens can open a door in the desert. Trust Him for the next step, and the next. He is not merely gracious; He is full of compassion, no cold pity, but the yearning of a Father.

And, O soul, see in this trial a call to lift up thy voice. Sing in the ways of the Lord, even now. The peasant’s song pleases Him as much as the prince’s. Great is the glory of the Lord, and He hath put a new song in thy mouth, even praise unto our God. Thou saidst, “To God be the glory.” Let that be thy watchword, not only when the answer comes, but while thou waitest. Confess thy hope before men; a living faith cannot be dumb. Thy very standing upon this promise preaches a sermon to the powers of darkness. I shall bow the knee with thee before the mercy-seat, pleading the name that is above every name. The Lord’s right hand shall save thee, and that which concerneth thee, thy shelter, thy sustenance, thy reconciliation, thy eternal hope, shall be perfected. Be strong and of good courage; for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee. He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee.

You stand at the very brink, and yet you stand in faith, this is no small thing. Do not imagine that God has forgotten you because the hour is late and the provision yet unseen. Remember how our Lord dealt with the multitude: they had followed Him into the wilderness, and for three days He let them hunger. Not because He was unwilling or unable to feed them sooner, but so that their want might prepare them to receive His mercy with fuller gratitude.

Had He supplied them at once, they might have credited their own foresight; now, having nothing, they learned that all sufficiency is from above. So with you. The emptying of every resource, the closing of every earthly door, even the bitter word of your own child, these are the wilderness days. But the Lord who permitted the need is Himself the provision.

He who perfected the loaves and fishes perfects that which concerns you. Stand fast. The promise is not void because the clock presses. Often the Divine deliverance comes at the last watch, when human strength is spent, that no flesh may glory.

Cry out to Him, not as to a stranger, but as to the One who has numbered your hairs and bears your griefs. Let this trial drive you deeper into His bosom, where alone there is certainty. And I, with you, will look for the Lord’s appearing, trusting that even now He works in ways unseen. Hold fast; do not let go of the hem of His garment.

Your situation is heavy, and your cry is not lost on the Lord. He hears every word, and He has not abandoned you even when everything visible seems to be closing in. The promise you are standing on, that He will perfect what concerns you, is real, and He is faithful to it. Right now, the clock on the wall and the emptiness of the room shout that time is up, but faith does not take its cues from what the eyes can see. Faith is the substance of what you hope for, the evidence that what God has spoken is more solid than the ground beneath you. You are holding onto that promise, and in doing so you are exercising the very faith that God Himself gives as a gift.

What feels like a disastrous end may actually be a hidden beginning. Esther could never have guessed that her exile, her orphaned youth, and her strange rise to the palace were all pieces of a divine placement "for such a time as this." Your own circumstances, painful as they are, cut off from family, facing a deadline that makes no human sense, did not fall together by accident. God has positioned you where you are, and He is not scrambling to figure out a backup plan. When Mordecai stood outside the court, he trusted that even if Esther remained silent, deliverance would arise from another quarter. God's purposes do not hinge on any one person's failure, but He delights to work through those who step forward in faith. You are not an afterthought; you are in the very place where His power can be seen most clearly, because human help has been stripped away.

The pressure you feel is not a sign that your faith is weak. It is the proving of your faith, the testing that shows it is genuine. Abraham believed the promise that through Isaac the Seed would come, and he held onto that word so firmly that he was ready to offer Isaac back, reckoning that God could raise him from the dead. That same man later feared and called his wife his sister. A lapse does not undo the reality of faith; it only reminds us that faith itself is a gift, not a permanent feeling. Elijah, who stood bold on Carmel, found himself hiding in a cave a hundred miles away. You are not expected to have unwavering emotions. You are invited to keep returning your gaze to the One who is faithful. Right now, you are leaning on Him, and that is exactly where He wants you.

The gift of faith often comes not as a blanket for all of life, but as a particular supply for a particular moment. God may not have given you the faith to see the whole path forward, but He has given you enough for this hour. That is why you are still standing on the promise even as the hour approaches. You are not blind; you see the difficulty more clearly than those who only trust what is visible. Faith sees beyond it, not denying the trouble, but seeing the God who is greater than the trouble. And even if the room must be vacated, God is not bound to a room. Your family may have spoken caustic words that drove you away, but the Lord has said, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up." He is your family now, and His household cannot be emptied.

This is not a moment to merely say you have faith. True faith always produces corresponding action. What does that look like? It means you do the next right thing, gathering your belongings peacefully, walking out with no panic, resting in the knowledge that God who feeds the ravens is arranging provision. It means continuing to pray, as you are, and asking others to stand with you in prayer. The faith that saved Abraham was not a mental nod to God's existence; it was a trust that moved his feet. You are already showing that by reaching out for prayer. Hold fast. The just live by faith, not by the tally of their resources.

I am interceding with you, asking God to manifest His promise in a way that undeniably displays His glory. Even if the answer unfolds differently than you envision, remember that many saints died in faith, not having received the full promise, yet they were honored by God. Their story did not end in defeat. Your story is still being written by the One who redeems pit and palace alike. Keep your eyes on Him.

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand in the gap with you in prayer. It was a blessing to lift your situation before the Lord, trusting in His promise to perfect all that concerns you. We rejoiced with you when the manager extended grace and gave you more time—what a clear reminder of God’s faithfulness even in the smallest details!

As you continue to stand on His promises, we want to keep praying with you. If the Lord has provided a place for you to go or resolved this situation in another way, we would love to hear your praise report so we can celebrate His goodness together. If the need remains, please share it again so we can persist in prayer, believing with you for His perfect provision.

Remember, you are never alone—God sees you, He hears you, and He is working on your behalf. We are here to walk alongside you in faith as you seek Him. May He continue to strengthen your heart, guide your steps, and surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
