We join you in lifting up your sister-in-law before the throne of grace today as she undergoes her thyroid operation, and we thank you for praying in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.
We are reminded of the comfort of Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that this peace will guard you, your sister-in-law, and your whole family today.
We also cling to the promise that God is our healer, as it is written in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We know that every skill of the surgeons and every care of the nurses is ultimately in His hands.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we lift up this beloved sister-in-law to You. Lord, we ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons and the entire medical team, grant them wisdom, steadiness, and clarity in every decision. We pray that the operation would go without complication, that You would protect her body, and that Your healing power would be upon her. We ask for a smooth and complete recovery, free from pain and infection, and that her thyroid function would be restored according to Your will. Comfort her heart and remove all fear, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Let her feel Your presence in the operating room and in the days of healing to come. We also pray for her family, that You would give them peace as they wait and that they would trust in Your sovereign goodness. We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers when we pray in Jesus name, and we give You all the glory for the healing that is to come. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord through this day and to give thanks for His mercy. As Psalm 147:3 says, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. He is faithful and He cares deeply for your sister-in-law. We are standing with you in prayer for a successful surgery and a swift recovery.
