Thoughts and words - guard my mouth, heart

That out of my mouth goes out only what is moving forward your kingdom. Not negative, harsh, condemning etc... words.

That i let dwell in my mind only thoughts that advance your kingdom in Jesus name!!

Let me recognize and correct all thoughts , words, actions that are not advancing your kingdom in Jesus name!!!

Let me not go into areas (material or psychological) where i.should not enter in.

GUARD MY MOUTH, GUARD MY HEART IN JESUS NAME!!
 
We join with you in this holy desire to guard your mouth and your heart so that only what advances the Kingdom of God comes forth from you, and we praise God for stirring this conviction in you.

Your prayer reflects the wisdom of Scripture which teaches us that the mouth and the heart are intimately connected. As Jesus said, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks Matthew 12:34, and therefore we are called to Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23. We hear your longing not to speak negative, harsh, or condemning words, and this aligns with the command to Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Ephesians 4:29. We also join you in asking for discernment to recognize and correct every thought, word, and action that does not advance His Kingdom, for we are to be bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5.

We are encouraged by your desire to dwell only on thoughts that honor Him and to not enter areas material or psychological where you should not go. This is the call to set our minds on things above and to walk in wisdom. Scripture urges us Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8. And to guard our steps, we are reminded to not turn to the right hand nor to the left but to remove our foot from evil Proverbs 4:27 and to abstain from every form of evil 1 Thessalonians 5:22.

We pray together for you in Jesus name.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this heart that desires to be fully Yours. We ask that You set a watch, Yahweh, before our mouth and keep the door of our lips Psalm 141:3, so that no unwholesome word would proceed from us. Purify our hearts, Lord, that what overflows from them would be grace, truth, and encouragement that builds up Your Kingdom. Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart be acceptable in Your sight, Yahweh, our rock, and our redeemer Psalm 19:14. Give us discernment by Your Holy Spirit to recognize quickly any thought, word, or action that does not align with Your will, and give us strength to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 and lead us away from any place or mindset where we should not enter, and instead guide our feet on Your narrow path. May our lives bear fruit that honors You, speaking only what is helpful and life giving. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, amen.
 
We're grateful you brought this before the Lord so plainly. The desire to have your heart and mouth guarded, so that what you think and say actually helps and builds up, is one God delights in. It's also a daily battle, and wanting to notice and turn from what doesn't belong is already a step of faithfulness.

We find it helps to remember how closely thoughts and words are linked. What we let linger in our minds often shapes what comes out of our mouths later, sometimes without us noticing. So that work of noticing is so important.

One simple practice that has helped others is to build in a brief pause. Before you speak in a conversation, or before you let your mind settle on a train of thought or open a website or conversation you know pulls you elsewhere, pause for just a second and ask, is this leading me toward what is good and life giving? If you notice it isn't, you can quietly turn to the Lord in that moment and ask Him to redirect you. At the end of the day, looking back at just one moment when your words or thoughts did reflect His grace can also encourage you to keep going.

Father, we ask You to guard our brother's heart and mouth today. Give discernment to recognize what does not belong and grace to turn from it quickly, and fill his mind with what is true and good. Shape his words so they bring life to others. In Jesus' name, amen.
 
There is great wisdom and grace in the prayer you have lifted, for you have asked for that which God Himself delights to give. The heart is the seat of life and the governing power of the whole man, the fountain from which the mouth must draw, and unless the fountain be kept pure the stream cannot be clean. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh, and therefore your prayer to guard both together is according to the mind of God.

We join with you in asking the Lord to set a watch before your mouth and to keep the door of your lips, as the Psalmist prayed, and to let the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be acceptable in His sight. May He take away whatsoever is stony or divided within and give you a new heart and a new spirit, a heart of flesh tender toward His Word, for no man can make his own heart new by his own strength. Whatever strength is our own will one day fail, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

We pray that the Lord will write His law upon your heart, so that from that royal citadel your eyes, your tongue, your hands and your feet may be ordered aright. May He keep your heart with all diligence, and grant you grace to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, to dwell only upon whatsoever things are true and pure and lovely, and to reject all that would not advance His kingdom. When thoughts arise that are negative or harsh or condemning, may the Spirit who pierces the heart also heal it, and may you be quick to commune with Jesus about all that is in your heart, telling Him all and hiding nothing, for He is tender and compassionate to heal the broken and contrite.

We ask also that the Lord will give you discernment to turn away from every place, whether material or in the thoughts of the mind, where you should not enter, and to walk in the path of pleasantness and peace which belongs to those whose heart is united to fear His name. May your mouth be filled with confession of the Lord Jesus and your heart with living faith in Him whom God raised from the dead, so that your speech may not be mere excitement or philosophy but the overflowing of life drawn from the heart of God.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, that your life and lips may together bear witness to His grace, to the glory of the Father.
 
May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body
 
Your longing to have your mouth and heart guarded is itself a work of grace, and it is a prayer God delights to answer. Scripture says, Set a guard over my mouth, Lord, keep watch over the door of my lips, and also, Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

What you have asked touches the very root of the Christian life. The mouth does not speak on its own. As the Lord taught, what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart. The tongue may hold back for a time out of shame before others, but the heart in secret gives birth to thoughts freely, having no witness but God. Therefore the guard must be set first within. If the heart is bound and kept in Christ, the mouth will follow. If the mind is trained to dwell only on what is true and holy, the words will be words that build up and give grace.

You are right to ask not only for restraint from what is negative, harsh and condemning, but for a positive filling, that only what advances the kingdom would dwell in you and come from you. The apostle gives us that filter when he says, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. And again, let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs.

This guarding is not accomplished in a moment, but by habit and by prayer. Just as the mouth learns to speak carelessly by habit, so it can learn by grace and discipline to speak with honor to God. Bind your heart and mind, as with a holy restraint, rather than waiting for outward bonds to correct you. Keep your heart full of the Word, so that there is no room for what should not enter, whether in material things or in thoughts and imaginations.

Let us pray together for what you have asked.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to set a guard over this mouth and a watch over this heart. Cleanse the inner spring, that the outer stream may be pure. Help us to recognize quickly every thought, word and action that does not advance Your kingdom, to confess it honestly before You, and to turn from it. Fill the mind with what is true and good, so that only what is wholesome, gracious and edifying comes forth. Teach us to stay away from places and paths, both outward and inward, where we should not go, and to walk instead in the way that pleases You. Create in us a clean heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, that our words and thoughts may be acceptable in Your sight. Amen.
