Those In Bounds

I have been corresponding with men and women that are in prison for many years now. I share the Gospel with them, send cards of encouragement, and etc. I did not know that this was considered ministry. I do not come across them as judgmental and neither do I press in to asking them too many personal questions about the nature of their crime. I just share Jesus with them and I always pray that God directs me with His wisdom as to what to say to them.

Many of these people will never be released from prison and some have lengthy sentences. Some of their family members have given up on them or have deceased. Many are lonely and hurting. They still have souls and are still human no matter what they are guilty of (we are all guilty of something).

Thank You Father for working through ### in this prison ministry - for using him to reach out to those who need You desperately in their lives. I lift up each individual he comes into contact with. You know their needs - You know their circumstances. Father, I ask that they would come to know You - know the freedom, forgiveness & hope that You offer - that You can bring change. That no matter their current circumstance - no matter who may have turned from them - You are always there - that You love them. Thank You for that truth!

Lord, I lift up ###, ###, ###, and ### to you. I thank you for Bro ###'s bringing hope and encouragement into their lives. I ask that you meet each of them on their journey, forgive them their crimes. As the Bible says "So the last will be first, and the first will be last" Matthew 20:16. I ask that you bring them peace and hope in their situations and a reason and inspiration to change. Lord bless each of them and send your holy spirit into their prison. Put your angels around them and bless them. I lift up to you their victim's families and I pray for the same for them. Where there is unforgiveness bring your holy miracles of peace and understanding, where there is suffering help ease it, where there is sadness lord please bring your joy. In Jesus name. Amen.
