Your thanksgiving is right and pleasing to God, and I join you in it. We give thanks together for every person who prays here, for those who post their requests and for those who pray quietly without posting, for those who carry heavy and urgent burdens and for those who bring what may seem like small daily needs. God cares for each one, the light and the heavy, and nothing brought to Him in faith is overlooked.
We help together by prayer, and even when God acts out of His own mercy, He still allows our prayers to have real part in His work. Prayer is a great weapon for this daily struggle, and we need it early in the morning and at night, so that having first made God favorable to us, we may go through the day without shipwreck and without wound.
I join you in asking the Lord to protect this place and all who come here to seek Him and to pray for others. May He keep it from harm and keep the hearts of those who pray watchful and humble, knowing that we always need prayer and we always need the prayers of one another.
And for those who visit and do not yet know Jesus, we pray with the same desire Paul expressed, that they might be saved. We ask that the Lord would open the ears of their hearts as He opened the heart of Lydia to attend to what was spoken, that they would come to repentance, receive Christ who alone is the way of salvation, and devote their lives to Him. May He teach them to walk on the narrow path with perseverance and to learn His way day by day.
May God hear this thanksgiving and these petitions, and may He keep all who pray here in His grace and truth. Amen.
