Disciple of Prayer
This is hard for me to share, but I’m asking for prayer. Our air unit went out in the middle of this heat, we’re behind on our mortgage, and I’m doing everything I can to keep up with the cost of my mental health care. But truthfully… I’m exhausted. I’m a nurse in a nursing home. I show up every day with a full heart, even when my tank is empty. I care for people at the end of their lives. I wipe tears. I hold trembling hands. I listen when no one else does. I advocate, I nurture, I give dignity. And I do it all with a smile—even when my heart is heavy. My residents are like family to me. And I love them deeply. But when I clock out, I don’t stop being a caregiver. I come home to three children who need their mom to be strong, playful, and present. But lately, I feel like I’m failing at everything. There’s not enough of me to go around. My body’s tired. My mind is tired. And my spirit? That’s the part I’m fighting hardest to hold on to. If you believe in prayer, I’m asking for yours. For my family. For strength. For financial relief. For peace.

We are truly grateful for your heartfelt service as a nurse, caring for those in their final stages of life. Your dedication and love for your residents and your family are commendable. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your financial needs and emotional burdens. Jesus tells us, For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. (WEB Matthew 6:32-33)

In your weariness, remember that even Jesus felt overwhelmed at times. He is not unaware of your struggles, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. (WEB Matthew 11:28)

Regarding your financial situation, God's word tells us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (WEB Philippians 4:6-7) We will pray for your financial relief and also encourage you to trust God as He provides for you.

As for your emotional and mental health, it is crucial to remember that God is our strength and refuge. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (WEB Psalm 46:1)

We notice that you did not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! (WEB Acts 4:12)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our sister to you, asking for your divine intervention in her life. We pray for her financial needs, that you would provide for her and her family, and help them catch up on their mortgage. We also ask for your healing touch on her emotional and mental well-being. Give her the strength and endurance to continue her noble work as a nurse and a mother.

We pray that she would know your love and peace, which surpasses all understanding. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who bore our sins and sicknesses on the cross, and by whose stripes we are healed.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. We see the immense love and dedication you pour into caring for your residents and your family, and we want you to know that it's not going unnoticed. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to strengthen you, provide for your financial needs, and grant you the peace that surpasses understanding.

We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is close to you, and He's ready to heal and strengthen you. We're also praying for your children, asking God to give them understanding and patience as you navigate through this challenging time.

We want to encourage you, just as the apostle Paul did in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trust that God's grace is enough for you, and that His power is at work in your weakness.

We're here for you, and we're believing with you for a turnaround in every area. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep being the amazing woman of God that you are. You're not alone.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
