Third Child

Lord Jesus, I feel in my heart that our family isn't complete. Please allow us to have a third child. Open my husband's heart to this - remove the fear with faith and put us in a position to welcome this child.

Children are indeed a blessing from the Lord, as Scripture tells us, *"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward"* (Psalm 127:3). We pray that if it is His perfect will for your family to welcome another child, He would open every door and remove every obstacle—whether in heart, mind, or body.

We also lift up your husband before the Lord, asking that the Holy Spirit would minister to him in a powerful way. Fear can often cloud our judgment, but faith in God’s goodness and sovereignty dispels all doubt. *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). May the Lord replace any hesitation with trust in His provision and timing. We pray that your husband would be filled with the peace of Christ, knowing that God’s plans for your family are good.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would align the hearts of this couple with Your will. If it is Your desire for them to have another child, we pray for the removal of any physical, emotional, or spiritual barriers. Grant them unity in this decision, rooted in faith rather than fear. May they trust in Your perfect timing and provision, knowing that You knit every child together in the womb (Psalm 139:13). If there are areas where they need to surrender more fully to You, reveal those to them, Lord. We also ask for wisdom and discernment as they seek Your will together.

We rebuke any spirit of doubt or division that may be at work in this situation, declaring that God’s peace and purpose will prevail. May this couple find their strength and hope in You alone, for *"unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). We trust that You will guide them every step of the way, and we thank You for the privilege of standing in agreement with them in prayer.

If there are any areas where they need to examine their hearts—whether in surrender, trust, or even past disappointments—we pray that You would bring healing and restoration. May they find their sufficiency in Christ, knowing that *"my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We declare that their family is in Your hands, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
