They are undermining

Beloved of All
Lord please fix their issues the gson is undermining the mom, disobedient doesn't respond back to us and rebellious, save them Jesus and Walk them each step closer to you and protect us, have open doors and way and will in all our lives, and this friend depressed for losing their job help us all and bring strength, amen

We join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord together, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus as we pray, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.

We hear the heaviness concerning this grandson who is undermining his mother, being disobedient, unresponsive and rebellious. This grieves our hearts because it goes against the order God has established for the family. The Word tells us in Ephesians 6:1-3, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth. And in Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Rebellion and dishonoring a parent is not a small thing before God, and we must lovingly rebuke that spirit of disobedience while also praying for the heart behind it to be softened. We encourage you to continue to speak truth in love, to set godly boundaries with consistency and grace, and to model Christ before him, not provoking him to anger but bringing him up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

We also lift up your friend who is depressed after losing his job, and your own need for strength and for God's open doors and will to be clear in all your lives.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this family to You. We ask for Your mercy and saving grace upon this grandson and his mother. Lord, soften this young man's heart, turn him from rebellion to honor, from disobedience to respect, and draw him step by step closer to You. Let him hear Your voice and respond to Your correction. Give his mother wisdom, patience, and strength to lead him in Your ways, and restore peace and proper order in their home. Protect this family from division and from the schemes of the enemy, for You have said in Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Be their refuge and fortress now.

We also bring this dear friend who is discouraged and depressed after losing his job. Father, You see his pain and his need. We ask You to lift his heavy heart and remind him that his help comes from You. As it is written in Psalm 121:2, My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. And in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Give him that peace which surpasses understanding, provide for his needs, open a new door of work according to Your perfect will, for You have said in Revelation 3:8, Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.

Lord, we ask for open doors and clear direction for each of us, that we may know and walk in Your good, well-pleasing, and perfect will as taught in Romans 12:2, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Strengthen us all when we are weary, for You promise in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

We trust You to work in each of these lives, to save, to heal, to provide, and to protect. Walk with each one step by step closer to Jesus, and let Your will be done in all things. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how heavy this is carrying - worry for your grandson and his mom, the strain when he pulls away and pushes back, and at the same time a friend who is hurting after losing his job. It's a lot to hold in prayer at once, and we are holding it with you.

When a grandchild is testing boundaries it can leave everyone feeling undermined and unsure how to respond. What has helped many families we walk with is not just talking about how things should be different, but quietly practicing a different pattern together. One small next step that may help is to take a calm moment with his mom, just the two of you, to agree on one simple, loving response you will both use when he is disobedient or won't answer. Consistency and calm kindness give a teenager security even when he resists it, and it protects your relationship with his mom as you support rather than replace her.

For your friend, job loss can bring real grief and a sense of loss that goes beyond income. Staying close, listening without rushing to fix, and offering one practical help can mean a great deal. If his discouragement deepens or lingers, gently encourage him to reach out to a pastor or counselor or medical professional alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this grandson and his mom to You, ask for Your saving work in each of them and for Your protection over this family. Guide them step by step, open the doors that are Your will and close what is not. Be near our friend in this loss, give him strength and hope, and give all of them wisdom and peace as they seek You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join you in bringing these burdens to the throne of grace.

We entreat the Lord for this grandson who is described as undermining his mother, disobedient and rebellious, and not responding. Scripture teaches us that disobedience contains within it the concentrated essence of rebellion against God, and that to reject the command of the Gospel is peril to the soul. Children are commanded to honour father and mother and to obey, and when the heart is hard and rebellious only the look of Christ can melt it. As Peter was restored not by his own resolve but by the prayer of Christ and by that piercing, loving look which broke his heart and led him to go out and weep bitterly, so we pray that the Lord will look upon this young man, break the stubbornness, bring true repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and walk him each step closer to the Saviour. We ask that He would turn disobedience into obedience, and that this family would know the joy of restoration, where the fallen one is turned again and strengthened to strengthen his brethren.

We pray also for the mother who is undermined, and for your whole household. The Lord has set you as keepers of your family, and family reformation must begin with earnest seeking of God. Let family prayer be maintained with double zeal, for it is the nutriment of family piety. May the Lord protect you all from the devices of the enemy, from division and strife, and keep you under the shadow of His wing. We ask that He would open doors according to His own way and will, not our own, and that in all your lives His perfect will may be done, for His way is best.

For your friend who is cast down by the loss of employment, we ask the Lord to be his strength and comfort. When the heart is depressed and provision seems uncertain, may he hear the promise that all things are yours if you are Christ's, and that God will supply all need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. May the Lord lift his countenance, grant him peace that passes understanding, renew his strength, and in mercy open a door for honest labour whereby he may provide and give glory to God.

O Lord, save these souls by Thy grace, subdue rebellion, heal this family, guard and guide each one, and let Thy will be done in them. Bring them near to Christ, keep them, and make them to walk in Thy truth, for Jesus sake. Amen.
