Beloved of All
There are so many problems in the world and last night we were hit once again. Mother had to go to the hospital at 12 pm midnight. The ambulance came fairly fast so we didn't have to wait long. It's a fifty mile drive to the hospital and we followed the ambulance in the car. Mom had a hemorhage of a blood vessel in the brain. The doctor said there isn't much they can do but wait and see. If it had been a stroke I know they can do something within the first three or four hours but I guess a hemorhage of the brain is different. She was very uncomfortable all night as we waited to see what happens. She lost the feeling in her right arm and some on her right side. Her speech is affected. She had a low fever too but that's improved. She was very distraut and concerned that she might never be able to use her arm again. My mother is 88 years old. Up until the hemorhage she was in good health. She always made it clear she never wanted to be a burden on anyone. That's the kind of person she is. She's a very loving and caring person. She always has a project going or something cooking on the stove. She likes working in the kitchen and has always tried to keep busy up until now. Today she is worse. Her voice is weaker and the words don't make sense anymore although I think she still understands what we're saying. There is obvious brain damage and the doctors don't know if she will get worse or better. There's only three of us left now. My brother is doing everythin he can to help. Please pray for my mom.
