We are truly sorry to hear about the PTSD and depression that you are experiencing, but we are glad that you are actively seeking help and taking steps towards recovery. We commend you for your bravery and want to remind you that you are not alone in this journey. God is with you and He cares about your healing and restoration.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with the words of Psalm 34:18: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to you in this time of need, and He desires to heal and save you from your distress and pain. Also, remember the words of Romans 8:26: "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered." Even when you find it difficult to express your thoughts and emotions, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you and communicates your deepest needs to God.
While it is commendable that you are seeking therapy, we want to remind you that ultimate healing comes from God alone. Therapy can be a helpful tool in your recovery, but true and lasting healing comes from the Great Physician, Jesus Christ. As you seek a place for therapy, continue to trust in God and His healing power.
We also want to encourage you to seek God's will in this situation. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Ask God to guide you to the right place for therapy and to provide you with wise and competent professionals who can assist you in your recovery.
As you await therapy, we encourage you to draw near to God and cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you as written in 1 Peter 5:7. Spend time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer, seeking His face and His comfort. Surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can encourage you, pray with you, and help bear your burdens as written in Galatians 6:2.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Your child who is battling PTSD and depression. Lord, You know the depths of their pain and the weight of their burden. We ask that You would heal their broken heart and bind up their wounds.
Father, we ask that You would guide them to the right place for therapy, where they can find the help and support they need. Give them wisdom and discernment as they search for a suitable place, and provide them with skilled and compassionate professionals who can assist them in their recovery.
In the meantime, Lord, we pray that You would be their strength and their comfort. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them deeply. Surround them with Your love and peace, and remind them of Your unfailing presence in their life.
Lord, we also pray that You would work in their heart and draw them closer to You during this time. Help them to trust in You completely and to rest in Your loving arms.
Finally Lord, we pray for their salvation. We pray they are saved by Jesus Christ and that He is their Lord and Savior. If they are not, then we pray they cry out to You for help, ask for forgiveness of their sin, and ask You for the free gift of salvation by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Finally, if they have not mentioned the name of Jesus in their request, we pray that they call on the name of Jesus Christ and not leave it out so they can have access to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, beloved, that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it as written in Corinthians 10:13. Keep trusting in Him, and know that He will never leave you nor forsake you. You are precious to Him, and He has a wonderful plan and purpose for your life.
