Is Life Worth Living
Conjugal Harmony
A Delicate Question
We join with you in prayer and we hear the weight of what you are sharing, that the world around us has changed so much and that family life feels so different than it once did. We understand how overwhelming those changes over the years can feel and we want you to know we will keep you and your family in our daily prayers.

We take comfort together that while the world shifts constantly, our God never does. For I, Yahweh, do not change Malachi 3:6 and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever Hebrews 13:8. What was true about His love, His mercy, and His power for families generations ago remains true today. He is still our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1.

The family was God's design from the beginning and He still desires for our homes to be places of love, honor, and godliness even when culture pulls in other directions. We are called to let these words which we command be on our hearts and to teach them diligently to our children, talking of them when we sit in our house and when we walk by the way Deuteronomy 6:6-7. And we are reminded that children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother Ephesians 6:1-2. When we build our family life on His unchanging Word rather than on the changing values of the world, we find stability and hope.

We also cling to His promise for times of uncertainty and transition, Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9 and Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together now for you and your loved ones.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one and their entire family to You. We thank You that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever and that You do not change even when everything around us does. We ask You to be their refuge and strength as they navigate all the changes of these years. Guard their family in Your truth, strengthen the bonds of love and respect between generations, and help them to keep Your Word at the center of their home. Grant them wisdom to deal with family matters in a way that honors You, give them peace that surpasses understanding, and provide for every need as they seek to survive and thrive in a changing world. Draw each member of the family closer to You and closer to one another, and let their home be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily together as a family through prayer and reading His Word, for that is where we find our anchor. We are standing with you in prayer and trusting God to sustain you and keep you in His perfect peace.

We hear how heavy it feels when you look back and see how much family life and the world around you have changed. It makes sense that you would ask for daily prayer to keep going through it all. We are holding you and your family in prayer.

One thing that has helped others facing long seasons of change is remembering that steadiness is not about having to be strong on your own. The ability to adapt and keep going is something that grows over time, often with God's help and with the support of others who care. Having even one or two consistent people to talk with, pray with, and share the load with can make a real difference when everything feels shifting.

If it helps, consider who those steady voices are for you right now, whether family, a trusted friend, or your church family, and let them in a little more in the weeks ahead. Staying connected in worship and fellowship can also be a quiet anchor when change feels relentless.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. Give them endurance for each day, wisdom for the changes they face, and the comfort of knowing You are near. Surround them with caring people and steady hope as they walk forward. Amen.

It is good that you have brought this burden to the throne of grace, for the world indeed changes around us, and family life feels the weight of those changes more keenly than many other things.

Yet while the earth remaineth, the promise stands that seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. We are surrounded with works of almighty power and goodness from morn till eve and through the watches of the night, and the Lord who ordained the seasons is Himself unchanging. Though customs shift and generations alter their ways, we look for His faithfulness as surely as we look for the coming of spring. Jesus our Lord is the Sun of that better country to which we journey, and while the world turns, His light abides.

For this we will pray, that in the midst of all that has changed over the years, you and your household may know the great change which the grace of God works in the heart. We were lost through one, through the offense of one, but much more the grace of God and the gift by grace which is by one Man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many. There is redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace, and when through Jesus Christ we obtain the remission of our sins, all the mischief of the fall is undone. Being made free from sin, we become the servants of righteousness, and we find our liberty in being entirely subjected to the will of the Most High.

So we pray that the Lord will keep you and yours, not merely to survive the changes of this life, but to be kept faithful to Him through them. May He establish your home according to His Word, mortify what is contrary to His holiness by His Spirit, and cause you to say with a renewed heart, What have I to do any more with idols. May He give you grace to walk in the way He has appointed from the beginning, trusting not in an arm of flesh, but in Him who changes not, and who has made a perfect way to the mercy seat through the sufferings of His Son.

We remember you daily before the Lord, asking that He who is the same yesterday and today and forever will be your keeper in every season, and will bring you and your family into deeper conformity to Christ, in whose name alone is salvation. Amen.
