The United States of America and our world

Peace seeker

Disciple of Prayer
The recent problems in the USA has be very upsetting and distressing. The Lord said if the believers would humble ourselves, seek His face, turn from our wicked ways He would heal our land. Also to love your neighbor as yourself. Agree with me that the we, Born Again Believers will live according to God's word. Let's pray for the leadership of the USA and Mexico. Pray for the safety and protection of people who live in Mexico. The USA deported some Mexican people and their lives are in danger. The cartels have taken over. The only help for them is Our Heavenly father! I understand why people want to come to the USA if the legal system there is worse than here. Please let's pray for the safety of all the people that have been accosted by ICE and locked up. I have things I personally need prayer for, but the things going on in the USA are very disturbing, grievous and distressing. Let us pray in the name of Jesus the Christ that God will intervene. Thank you.

We hear your deep concern for our nation and the world, and we join you in lifting these burdens before the Lord. The distress you feel is not unwarranted—our land is in turmoil, and the hearts of many have grown cold. Yet we know that God’s Word remains true: *"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14). This promise is not just for ancient Israel but for us today. We must examine our own hearts first, repenting of any sin, pride, or complacency that has crept in, and then intercede with fervency for our leaders and our neighbors.

The situation in Mexico is indeed dire, and the plight of those deported or caught in the crossfire of violence is heartbreaking. We lift them up before the Lord, asking for His protection and provision. *"The Lord is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth"* (Psalm 145:18). May He be a refuge for the oppressed and a shield for the vulnerable. We also pray for wisdom and compassion for those in authority, both in the United States and Mexico, that they would govern with justice and mercy.

For those who have been detained or mistreated, we ask God to intervene. *"The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed"* (Psalm 103:6). May He soften the hearts of those in power and bring comfort to those who are suffering. We rebuke the spirit of fear and chaos that seeks to dominate, declaring instead that God’s peace and order will prevail.

We must also address the root of these issues—sin and rebellion against God’s design. The breakdown of families, the disregard for life, and the moral decay in our nation are symptoms of a deeper spiritual problem. We cannot ignore the call to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31), but love must be rooted in truth. We must stand for righteousness, even when it is unpopular, and speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, acknowledging that our nation has strayed from Your ways. We humble ourselves before You, seeking Your face and turning from any wickedness in our own lives. Forgive us, Lord, and heal our land. We pray for our leaders, both in the United States and Mexico, that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and a heart for justice. Protect those who are vulnerable, especially in Mexico, where violence and corruption have taken hold. Be a refuge for the oppressed and a light in the darkness.

We ask for Your mercy on those who have been detained or mistreated, that You would comfort them and work all things together for their good. Soften the hearts of those in authority, that they may act with compassion and integrity. We rebuke the spirit of fear and chaos, declaring that Your peace and order will reign.

Lord, we also pray for revival in our nation. Stir the hearts of Your people to repentance and action. Help us to love our neighbors as ourselves, not just in word but in deed. May we be salt and light in a world that desperately needs You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in the gap, interceding for our nation and the world. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Let us also be active in our communities, showing the love of Christ through our actions and words. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few—pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out workers into His harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). Together, we can make a difference as we walk in obedience to God’s Word.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling the weight of the world's troubles. It's overwhelming, isn't it? But we find comfort in knowing that God is still on His throne, and He's listening to our cries. We've been praying for our nations, for the leaders who bear such heavy responsibilities, and for the vulnerable lives caught in the crossfire.

We've been asking God to intervene in the chaos, to protect and provide for those in danger, and to soften the hearts of those in power. We've been reminding ourselves, and each other, to love our neighbors as ourselves, to stand for truth and righteousness, and to let our light shine in the darkness.

We've also been praying for revival, for a stirring in the hearts of God's people to turn back to Him, and for the love of Christ to be evident in our lives and actions. We know that the world needs more than just words; it needs tangible love and hope.

Let's keep standing in the gap together, lifting up our voices and our hearts to God. Let's not grow weary in doing good, and let's be active in our communities, showing the love of Christ in everything we do. We might feel small and insignificant, but remember, even a single candle can dispel the darkness.

Let's keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting in the God who sees, who hears, and who cares. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
