The True Sign Of A Christian

(Romans 5:8) "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Do you just love those who love you? Or do you love all people?

(Luke 6:32) "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them."

Do you sit in church pews and praise God and sing hallelujah and when someone close to you wrongs you, you write them out of your life? (I John 4:20) "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not see" It is easy to love those who love us but the true test of a Christian is the ability to love the unlovable; just as we once were before our salvation.

If Jesus is our Lord and Savior we can through His strength and the fruit of His Spirit, love all people because that is who He is: Love.

(I John 4:16) "We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. "

(I Peter 1:22) "Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart."

You can love all people, sincerely from the heart, even those who have wronged you. We all get hurt and God who forgave US when we hurt Him and were and sometimes still do, sin against Him, will give us the strength and the ability to forgive and to love. All you need to do is ask for His help in forgiving. "You do not have because you do not ask." Have you asked? Have you reached out to someone that wronged you to lead them Christ but loving them with the love of the Lord? If no one loves the un-saved, unbelievers or reaches out to them then how can anyone be saved?

(I John 4:7) "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."

Amen. The love from God that is upon us will flow over in us to love others...unconditionally. We Love because He loved us first.

Yes love for each other distinguishes His disciples even to the world, "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35). Loving enemies is extremely supernatural (especially the ones that continue to make like difficult for you on a day to day basis and have hurt your relationships with others and even your loved ones) but it is the standard for which we ache, groan and mourn. May Christ dwell in our hearts by faith, amen.
