The Holy Spirit is all about truth: The Spirit inspires the truth that is taught, empowers the truth that is lived, and brings about his true fruit in our lives. In today's Scripture, Jesus makes four powerful claims about this Spirit of Truth.
Father, thank you for your Presence, the Spirit of Truth, who lives inside me. My blessings and my effectiveness as a follower of Jesus are tied to the Spirit's influence on my emotions, thoughts, words, and behaviors. Conform me to your truth by the influence of your Spirit of Truth. In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen.

Key Thought

- The Friend that God will send to us is the Spirit of Truth.
- The unbelieving world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth.
- The Spirit of Truth, the Friend, will be in Jesus' followers.
- The Spirit of Truth's presence is a reminder of Jesus' promises not to leave his followers orphaned and to come back for us and bring us home.
Today's Prayer
