The Spirit of Christ helps us in so many ways. This help is unleashed through the prayers of others. This help leads to deliverance, whether it is deliverance from death or through death. This help gives us boldness. This Holy Spirit help empowers us to honor Christ whether it is through the daily grind of day-to-day living or through courage in the face of death or martyrdom. So let's ask for prayers and offer prayers. Let's pray for others, and have others pray for us, what Paul prayed: "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being" (Eph. 3:16). The Holy Spirit helps us.
Prayer
Glorious Father, thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit and the assurance I have as I face all sorts of uncertainties. I have this confidence because of the presence of the Holy Spirit within me and the prayerful support of my brothers and sisters in Christ around me. So I join with Paul and pray that "my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die." I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
