Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your heart, dear sister or brother in Christ, and we stand with you in this season of preparation and anticipation. The fear you feel is understandable, this exam is a significant step in your calling to serve others through nursing. But we want to remind you that your confidence should not rest in your own strength or study alone, but in the One who holds your future in His hands.

The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not walking this path alone. We declare over you that the same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, and who equips the called is with you as you prepare. He is your strength when you are weak, your peace when anxiety rises, and your wisdom when the questions seem overwhelming.

We also want to encourage you to surrender this exam, and your future, to the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." You have studied, you have prepared, but now is the time to release the outcome to Him. He knows the desires of your heart, and He will guide your steps.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is preparing for this important exam. Lord, we ask that You would calm their fears and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their mind, sharpen their focus, and help them to recall all that they have studied. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and that You will go before them to make the crooked places straight. Father, we ask that You would grant them favor and clarity as they take this test. May they walk into that exam room with confidence, not in themselves, but in You. We pray for endurance, for wisdom, and for the presence of Your Holy Spirit to guide them in every question. Lord, we also ask that You would remind them of Your love and Your promises. Help them to rest in You, knowing that their future is secure in Your hands. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that your worth is not defined by the outcome of this exam. Whether you pass or need to retake it, God’s love for you remains the same. He has a purpose for your life, and this is just one step along the way. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

You mentioned that you will come back to testify, we are holding you to that! We believe that God is going to do great things in and through you, and we are excited to hear how He moves. Until then, keep pressing forward, keep trusting, and keep your heart open to His leading. You are not alone in this. We are praying for you, and we know that God is working even now on your behalf.

We can feel the weight in your words, the hope and the trembling, the longing to finally cross this finish line. Many of us have faced that same knot of fear before a test that felt like a door that had to open but might not. The stakes are real, and pretending they aren’t doesn’t help. What helps is naming the fear and then steadily doing the next right thing anyway.

There’s a kind of quiet courage that doesn’t feel brave at all but shows up in the ordinary daily work: the hour of focused review when you’d rather do anything else, the decision to rest your mind when panic tells you to keep cramming. That slow, faithful momentum often carries us further than a sudden burst of confidence ever could. Right now, maybe one step is to treat your remaining study sessions not as performance tests but as acts of steady faithfulness, showing up, doing what you can, and then releasing the results to the One who holds them.

We’re standing with you in this, and we’re asking for clarity, for a calm mind when you sit down to take the exam, and for the trust that whatever happens, your worth has already been settled far beyond any score.

Jesus, we lift our friend who is preparing for the NCLEX. Quiet the spinning thoughts and steady their mind so they can recall what they’ve studied. Meet the deep fear of failure with Your steady presence. Give them the courage to keep moving forward one day at a time, and bring a clear, peaceful focus when the exam day comes. We ask for Your help, trusting in Your kindness. Amen.

🙏 ❤️ 🙏 God, I ask You in Jesus' name if I am not where I need to be physically, spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and financially, I pray You lead me there through faith, prayer, wisdom, and works. God show me the areas that I need to grow in, and work on in my life. Holy Spirit help me. Give me the strength, desire, knowledge, and wisdom on how to grow, excel, and accomplish all that God wants me to accomplish and achieve. God do this for me, the writer of this prayer, those who love and care about me, and those I love and care about. God forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

The examination you face is more than a test of nursing knowledge; it is a test of faith, and in this, it may prove a far greater mercy than you now perceive. You are brought to a place where the props of self-reliance are knocked away, leaving you with nothing but a trembling hand reaching out to the Lord. This is good, proper ground for God to work. The fear that haunts you, that dread of failure, has risen because your eyes have drifted from the Master to the waves. The disciples cried out, “Why could we not cast it out?” and the Saviour answered, “Because of your unbelief.” So it is with you. You are already speaking of failure that has not even come to pass, as though the outcome depended upon your own strength of nerve and not upon the God who ordains success and permits trial for your ultimate blessing.

Yet, do not imagine that all fear is sinful. There is a slavish fear that dishonors God, a fear that hides the face of Christ behind the grim specter of a licensing board. That fear must be mortally slain by faith. There is another fear, a holy, jealous fear of yourself, a trembling lest you should sin by trusting your own arm and thereby miss the lesson He intends to teach you through this very trial. “Happy is the man who fears always,” when that fear is a dread of grieving the Spirit, a reverent awe that clings to Christ because it knows that apart from Him you can do nothing. This kind of fear will not drive you to despair but to the mercy seat, where the God-Man, Christ Jesus, was heard and has secured every blessing of covenant grace for those who are His.

Your resolve to come back and testify is a right instinct, yet do not make the Lord’s faithfulness contingent upon your passing a temporal test. Tie your profession to something deeper. Testify now of His grace in bringing you to this point of conscious dependence. Lay hold of the truth that the Atonement of Christ has secured your absolution before the Judgment Seat of God; shall He then abandon you to ruin over a lesser matter? The issue is not the questions on the page, but the posture of your soul. The peril of going back into disbelief is far worse than any peril of going forward into an examination room. Therefore, let your faith nail its colors to the mast. Trust Him for the outcome, whether it feels easy or hard, for the impulse of love will produce greater results than the impulse of fear.
