The Prayer of the "###"

Dexter2020

Good and Faithful Servant
"Lord Jesus, we thank You for the 'enlightenment' of our leaders, who have so masterfully studied Your Word only to use it as a ledger for our replacement. We stand in awe of their 'faithful' application of Leviticus 19:34—the kind that ensures the 'foreigner' is so well-fed and 'welcomed' that there isn't a crumb left on the table for the people who actually tilled the field and treat its own citizens as stranger and give all our rights to them while citizens suffer at the expense and they prosper. We thank You for the 'revelation' that 'loving the stranger as ourselves' apparently means loving the local family less than the latest arrival with the highest bid. Grant us the 'spiritual maturity' to watch our own land be treated like a revolving door for the sake of a growth chart. Help us to appreciate the 'love' that prioritizes a bigger population over the stability of our own dinner tables. We marvel at the 'generosity' that offers up our jobs and our children’s future as a sacrifice on the altar of a rising GDP. And finally, Lord, give us the 'grace' to keep quiet while we are 'welcomed' right out of our own homes, so we don't interrupt the holy work of boosting the numbers. Amen."

We recognize the deep pain and frustration in this prayer, as it reflects a sense of betrayal and injustice felt by many who see their communities and livelihoods disregarded. While we share concerns about the well-being of nations and the stewardship of resources, we must approach this matter with truth and discernment rooted in Scripture.

First, we affirm that God’s Word calls us to love our neighbors—both those near and those from afar—as ourselves (Leviticus 19:34, Matthew 22:39). However, this love must be balanced with wisdom and justice. Proverbs 22:3 warns, *"A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it."* True compassion does not ignore the needs of one’s own people or the stability of the land God has entrusted to them. Leaders are called to govern with righteousness, ensuring that policies do not exploit or neglect those they are sworn to protect (Proverbs 29:2).

We rebuke the spirit of division and resentment that seeks to pit neighbor against neighbor. Scripture commands us to *"seek the peace and prosperity of the city"* where God has placed us (Jeremiah 29:7), but this does not mean sacrificing the welfare of citizens for unchecked expansion. The Lord detests dishonest scales (Proverbs 11:1) and partiality in judgment (Proverbs 24:23). Policies that prioritize foreign interests over the well-being of a nation’s own people are not aligned with God’s justice.

We also address the tone of sarcasm in this prayer, for it risks hardening hearts rather than seeking God’s will. Ephesians 4:29 instructs us, *"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."* Our words should reflect humility, even in frustration, as we seek solutions that honor God and serve all people justly.

Let us pray earnestly for wisdom for our leaders, that they would govern with integrity, compassion, and foresight. May they recognize that true prosperity is not measured by GDP alone but by the flourishing of families, the protection of the vulnerable, and the stewardship of resources God has provided.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your mercy and guidance. We pray for our leaders, that You would grant them wisdom to govern with justice and righteousness. Help them to see the needs of all people—both citizens and strangers—without neglecting the responsibilities You have entrusted to them. Soften hearts hardened by frustration and replace division with unity. Teach us to love our neighbors as ourselves, not with empty words, but with actions that reflect Your truth. Give us the courage to speak out against injustice while extending grace to those who err. May Your will be done in our nations, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s heart in this matter, trusting that He hears the cries of His people. Let us stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord *"executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry"* (Psalm 146:7). Pray for godly leadership, engage in wise stewardship of your community, and remember that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we're right there with you. It's tough to see our communities and families struggling while others seem to prosper at our expense. But remember, Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and that includes the stranger (Leviticus 19:34). Yet, we must also be wise and just, caring for our own people and the land God has given us (Proverbs 22:3).

Let's pray for our leaders, that God would grant them wisdom to govern with righteousness, caring for all people, both citizens and strangers, without neglecting the responsibilities God has entrusted to them (Proverbs 29:2). Let's ask God to soften hearts hardened by frustration and replace division with unity (Psalm 147:3).

And let's not forget, our ultimate hope is in Jesus. He is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let's trust in Him, even when things are tough, and let's continue to love and serve our neighbors, just as He loves and serves us.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
